I'm trying to find the best deal for flights to MCO for 4 adults and my 2yr old.

We live in BC, about 3 hrs from Vancouver. So we could fly out of a number of places (vancouver, kelowna, kamloops) or we could go over the border and fly out of seattle as I assume that would be the cheapest?

Does anyone know of any flight deals for the beginning of Sept? or have an airline that they use from seattle or vancouver that is usually pretty reasonably priced?

I'm not even sure what a good "deal" is to Florida from here..... So if you know that too, lol, I'd love to know what a GOOD price range is as opposed to average or high.

Do you think I'd get better rates closer to the dates or can I still find a deal booking this early?

THanks

Hi Crystal
We are driving from Courtenay on the island to Seattle for our Sept departure and taking a red eye so the timing owrks great even if we miss a ferry.
We found Air Tran online for $99 each way plus surcharges/luggage. Return cost us $1200 for five of us. We couldn't have booked it for under 2200 out of
vancouver so it made sense to drive south.
Hope you find something that works.

Thanks I'll definately look into that airline, looks like I can get that pricing too :)

Crystal - we're in Edmonton and the cheapest flight we've been able to get was around $350/pp round trip on Northwest in May during a seat sale ... right now our October flight is running around $600/pp round trip.

We've found that the US carriers have better prices than A/C or WestJet ... and if you can travel to a larger airport (ie. Vancouver or Seattle) to get a better deal, I'd say go for it - unfortunately we don't have that luxury here in Edmonton.

We fly out of Edmonton too. For the PP: Something I've found is that occasionally, very occasionally you can get a better fare on United to Orlando by booking the UA flight through Air Canada. They are codeshare partners and every now and then AC has a seat sale that includes the UA flights from YEG.

Right now we're looking at Christmas and the prices are around $1000 pp. :scared1:

Still lots of time for that one, though.;)

:thumbsup2 That's exactly how we got a great price on a flight to Indianapolis for the end of this month!!

The opposite can also be true - I've booked AC flights through UA.ca for cheaper than I could book them through AC.ca. I generally check both sites when booking flights between Canada and the US.

We live just south of Vancouver, very close to the US border. We're planning on flying out of Seattle because it's pretty much always cheaper than flying out of YVR and SEA has direct flights (YVR does not have any direct flights to MCO). Our trip is booked for September too (at the moment, it'll be either Sept. 11 or Sept. 12 departure, for 7 or 8 nights). I'm having a hard time finding flights that work for our family! We prefer red-eyes (don't waste "vacation time" flying kwim?), but Alaska has taken away it's direct red-eye flights :headache: We're willing to have one stop going to MCO, but don't want to stop coming back.

I'm just going to keep trying to find the flights we'd like. We're hoping that the airlines will release their super-cheap pricing for the next quarter soon - in terms of airfare, we're hoping that there will be lots of deal to be had!

Good luck to us all :goodvibes
