Hello everyone!!
This is my first post here. I have been lurking for quite a while. This is a great board, very informative. I need some advice, please.
My sisters and I are taking our Mom to WDW for her first trip in December. My Mom is a diabetic. She has had good luck so far with not developing any foot problems. We have been talking to her about the possible use of a wheelchair while in the parks. After hearing about how big the parks are, she is becoming more open to this possibility. Now, my multiple questions......
-My Mom has access to a standard wheelchair that we can fly down with us. My concern is it possibly "disappearing" while we are enjoying an attraction. Anyone ever had this happen? I would hope that at WDW it wouldn't happen, but you never know.
-We are going to have a rented SUV for the length of stay, we were just going to drive to the parks (we will be staying at Pop and AKL). If we fly one down with us or rent one from an independent medical equipment company while we are down there, how do I get the wheelchair from the parking lot to the front of the park?
-If we just opt to rent one each day at the parks, is there a good possibility of getting one if we get there for park opening? We were going to avoid the park with early entry each day.
Whew!! Lots of questions!! Sorry this post is so long, but I could use some good suggestions. Thanks!!
