any advice on American airlines out of Laguardia

Ok We always fly out of Newark but the prices for Teacher's convention have skyrocketed and Laguardia has great rates. Can anyone give me advice on how early I need to get tothe airport. The best route there from central Jersey etc.

I would shoot for 90 minutes before departure. The AA lines at LGA can sometimes be long, but 90 mins. should be OK. From central NJ, depending on the time of day, the best way may be to take the NJ Turnpike to the GW Bridge, then the Major Deegan (Rte. 87) south to the Triboro Bridge. Follow the Grand Central Parkway East to the airport exit. LGA is about 5-10 mins from the Triboro Bridge.

Is LGA still under construction? We are also thinking about flying out of LGA this time...as it is MUCH (about $200.0 per ticket) more to fly out of BDL.

Does anyone know about construction. This may put a damper on leaving later.
