I leave for DL thursday..its our 2nd trip...any advice?

Has anyone taken that new tour? I need to go take my mom about taking it...it sounds like a blast!! :)
if I do take it..it will probably be Sunday.

so any tips or insites about DCA? b/c Im kinda clueless on this park..

Pack WARM clothes, it has been very cool in Southern California. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the 40s for the past week, and it doesn't appear that will be changing. Also be prepared for rain.

Enjoy! :)

Which tour are you referring to? If it's the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour, whatever you do, avoid Vincent (a tall skinny guy with moustache) as a tour guide. Half of our group bailed out because he wasn't very interesting, and a lot of the info he gave is stuff you can find in books and other sources. I think it would've been a lot better had we gone with the other guide (there were 2 and we split into groups). Also, if you do this tour, you can get 50% off if you have a Disney Club Card.

You don't mention where you're staying, but if you have the time, it's fun to explore the Disney hotels, especially GC (we stayed there and loved it). There is a hotel tour there which I thought was great. And Storyteller's Cafe has a great corn chowder!

DCA can be a lot of fun if you take the time to look around and study the attractiions beforehand. (One of my friends left after 1/2 hour thinking there was "nothing to do.") Soaring Over California is probably the best (and most popular) ride, and very unique. Be sure to do it early, you'll probably want to ride again! Then there's Californian Screamin', the rollercoaster, and the Maliboomer where you rocket up to something like 14 stories. The sunwheel is a giant ferris wheel, and there are some moving cars. Watch it first to see if it's for you...I know people who've gotten sick on it. I actually preferred the stationary cars because you are up higher. There is a film called "Golden Dreams" which I thought was pretty neat, and it's a nice place to relax. Grizzly Rapids is a water ride where almost everyone gets wet! Muppet Vision 3D is pretty much like WDW's, as is "A Bug's Life." I think those are the major things there. There are other rides and attractions as well.

Have a great time!

Bring lots of film - the resort is beautiful. Hope to see you at the Holiday tour on Sunday. :)

<font color=navy>I recommend dressing in layers. We were there last Saturday, and in the early afternoon, a sweatshirt was fine, but by late afternoon, we were all putting on our jackets.

There are no discounts for the holiday tour, and it's $20.

If you do not want to get wet on Grizzly Rapids, then invest in a cheapo poncho at a discount store, and bring it. We rode it twice in the evening, and BobBrazeal and my rascals got pretty soaked (I was lucky to get by with a few drops :D ). The ride is a lot of fun.

There are plenty of good spots to see the Electrical Parade at DCA, and don't forget the new show Luminaria ... I'm soooo tempted to put up a particular picture for a Christmas card. :p

Oh, and don't forget to wear a lime-green ribbon, if you can! :)

Hey, I'll be there Sun/Mon Dec. 9th and 10th with my MIL. (We were there Sept. 11 and decided to complete our trip this weekend.) So, I'd love to take the tour with you too. Do you think it will include Carols by Candlelight? I've been trying to get tickets for that but they are not available anywhere! Anyway, if we have enough people will we qualify for our own group? I have AAA if this helps get us a discount (anyone have AM-EX? sometimes that's a big money saver!) I'm not a big "pre-planner", but I would be very willing to get these ressies in advance in order to meet all of you. - just a warning my MIL will think we're nuts, but she is really nice and enjoys having a good time. Plus, she'd like to eat at Blue Bayou sometime during our visit (unless someone can think of another nice restaurant.) We both really liked Soap Opera Bistro even though neither of us watch soaps! So maybe we can all get together for dinner after the tour.

I dunno if I can do the tour! I need go to find out the time! and then talk my mommy into it! hehe

I gotta go find out what time it starts!

Im probably going to make it to the DIS meet!
yay! my first one!!

and I will have my ribbon on!! :D :D
