Looking to apply for a PLUS card in the next 30 days and have only seen 40k offers.

I am sorry but I think 40k is the best offer right now on the Plus card. The SW business still has a 60k offer, if you ever sell on ebay or CL or sew or do anything that earns you extra income. Getting business cards is pretty easy and lots of us do it!

Many people here have links for the 40k offer so unless you have someone's link already that you can use, maybe someone here could benefit from your 'click'.

Since when? What does that mean?

It happen around April 5th of this year. Here is an article on it.
It means you can only get 1 Southwest Card at a time. So if you plan on getting both personal cards, u wont be able to. (ie get one card in March 2018 and the 2nd personal card in August)
You can however apply for both cards at once to get both cards but you would need to spend $4,000 within 3 months.
You can however go 1 personal card and 1 business card.
You can also wait for the rumored "Premium" SW card that has a higher bonus.

hope that helps.

I'm curious about the Business card criteria. If I ran a small business out of my home, what would I need to provide to Chase?

You can apply with an EIN or use your social security number as a sole proprietor. Chase doesn't require any documentation. On the app, there are some brief questions about nature of business and revenue .

Thanks Wendow. In your earlier post you mentioned business cards, was that just for awareness, or something that Chase will request?

Sorry Wendow, after reading your previous note again, I'm thinking "business cards" rather than a SWest business card. Gah!

My DD is still getting 50,000 point offers in the mail every few weeks. She no longer lives here, has changed her address on her rapid rewards account, and they still come here.

She applied for a card a couple of years ago and they turned her down, so I doubt she will try again. United has more flights where she lives now.

i forgot to say... 50k mailer could be found at the airport or on flight. If your really looking for one, ive heard u can find those there. Good luck!

I don't think that article is totally true. I looked at the terms for the SW cards. It says "you MAY not" be eligible. It does not say you ARE NOT eligible if you have a current SW card. I think that has more to do with your credit report or how you are using your current card, which they also address. This is the current terms & conditions on both personal cards, I know it says they may have changed. But this is almost a month later, they should be up to date. Even in the linked article, someone reports a friend just got approved for both cards. Will be interesting to read further reports.

That was the pricing & terms link. But yours lists bonus points which the pricing & terms doesn't. Still, will be interesting to read more reports.

The same would be true for all Chase and Amex biz cards. You can apply just using your SSN# or EIN. If you apply using your SSN#, you'd want to apply as a sole proprietor and use your name as the business name. If you run a business out of your home, you have a legit business and you should definitely look into biz cards. If you are interested, pop over to the 'I love credit cards' thread and plenty of friendly folks can help you decide which one might be best for you to go for :)
