Yes. We linked our old magic bands and the Disney app and we went straight to the room

They did that even before the pandemic. We’ve been getting the texts for last few years. We only go to the front desk if our magic band doesn’t work.

Yes, they really just text you your room number and you go right to your room. They have been doing this for years.

I wonder if you can go to the front desk still if you would like to change the room you are assigned, DVC or regular resorts? I just wonder if the ability to do such will completely end in the future, or for a fee?

My daughter went to the front desk to get her room number (the app was not working correctly). She also picked up magic bands.

Both pools are open. I haven’t heard any boat horns (I will check some more later to find out if any boats are running). But I did see a Disney Springs bus pull in at the lodge.

I left Copper Creek today! We just had a quick one night stay. Movie Under the Stars is running nightly. Last night was Brother Bear and they have towels put out to show guests where to sit for social distancing (only one family was watching when I popped by). Around 7pm last night there was one family at the main pool and a CM trying to get a trivia session going. It was very quiet!

A few more random thoughts..

We got the room ready text at 7:03 am! Not kidding.

For breakfast we had Roaring Fork 2x- yesterday and today and we dined at Geyser Point for dinner last night. Good food but limited menus. The magic cookie bar IS available as well as Mickey waffles and Mickey bars..all the Mickey you need. A CM told me that they are having a supply issue. I also had a drink from the bar at Geyser Point and it was good.

Everyone was wearing masks when needed. Only saw them off at the pool and the smoking area.

The gift shop has a separate entrance and exit so guests aren't passing each other in the doorway.

Whispering Canyon breakfast had two families total yesterday when I walked by and ONE this morning.

I didn't want to leave! It was a very relaxing little stay.

Yep. Still playing. And I had my choice of where to sit - lol. We had points that were expiring the end of July and booked larger units to use up points.
