The time is coming closer and I am getting more anxious about things that can go wrong, illnesses, plane ride, whatever. I am getting nervous and apprehensive. I really want to have a good time, but I am finding now that i have kids and am getting older, things make me more anxious instead of how carefree i used to be! Any suggestions to get rid of these bugs!!!

All I can say is that I totally understand what you are going through. When we went to Disney in the summer I was a wreck leaving the house. All was well once we were on our way though. I don't focus on what could go wrong I was having anxiety and guilt over spending money when it could have gone towards my son's college tuition.

Hate to say it, but for me my anxiety is worse as I get older and my kids do too. Bigger kids, bigger problems. I know it's all just part of growing up.

Once you're at Disney, just enjoy it all. You'll never forget the wonderful family memories. Get a good book to read too. It'll take your mind off of the little things.

Have fun! :flower:

Geez, I wish I could tell you to just relax and enjoy yourself, but my DH and I have been in the same boat since we had kids too.

The bad news - on an actual travel day (flying, getting to the airport on time, layovers, keeping kids happy, etc...) tend to be high anxiety days.

The good news - once you get there, you'll find you're much more able to relax and really enjoy yourself.

It's the traveling that's the bad part for anxiety. The vacation is the FUN part! :flower:

I am an old sage here among all you younger posters (56) so I will speak from experience. If I could have all the time back that I spent worrying about things that never happened I would be about 23 years old now.
There is a much better chance that everything will turn out great than there is that you will have a problem. Have the family wash, wash, wash their hands so that they lessen their chances of bringing a virus along with them. Pack a few warm things in case the weather cools off. Turn that anxiety into excitement because it is half the fun of the trip.
We almost cancelled several trips over the years because of impending hurricanes, etc. but ended up going anyway and had nothing but fun. You will too.
