...standing in front of the crib and pretending your unborn baby is in it.

Yep, DH and I are pathetic that way. What can we say? We can't wait to be parents! :cloud9:

That is sweet. Give it a few months, and anticipation will be staring at the crib wondering when your baby will finally fall asleep!

Awww, and sitting for long periods of time, doing nothing, just feeling your baby kick or watching your belly. DH always wants to know how I can "sit there doing nothing".

Oh my God! I do that all the time...at work AND at home. I just sit and feel/watch my belly move. I absolutely love this "alone" time I have with the baby.

The other night I felt it hiccup...oh man, that was the sweetest thing on the planet.

I used to stuff a diaper into one of the outfits we had bought and drape it over my shoulder while patting the "bum". Not for long periods of time, of course. ;) Soooo, don't feel so bad. :)

I can totally see this as my next thing. Thanks for the idea. ;)

:grouphug: You are going to be such great parents. I hope the time flies by, your pregnancy is uneventful, and you're holding that new baby soon. Praying he/she will go to sleep. :rotfl2:

The night before I gave birth, I cried and cried and DH couldn't understand why because we were finally going to be able to see DS. I was crying because I missed him in my belly already!

Thanks Amy! Me too.

Thats so sweet, I just started to tear up LOL! My little man is 4 now and I totally miss being pregnant with him. I miss all those little kicks and bumps and flips.

What a lucky baby to be so wanted!

My "little man" is 6'4" now...and I remember lying on the couch wondering what his voice would sound like!

Don't tell anyone, but I used to dress the cats in Russ's soon-to-be-baby outfits. It was good practice for dressing a toddler! :rotfl:

We just painted the nursery this weekend and we both go in there and just stare at it. Color us pathetic, too. :) Do you have much decorating left to do?

awwww, I so know what you are talking about:) I used to love to wash all the baby clothes before my son was born and fold them into neat little piles in his drawers...then I would take them all out and do it again:rotfl: I was almost 4 weeks passed my due date with him...everyone kept telling me I mis- calculated, I know I didn't:rolleyes: and so did my doctor. Anyway, I was convinced that I was going to be the first woman ever who never actually gave birth and would be pregnant for the rest of my life:rotfl: Yeah, those hormones really do a number on you:lmao: I got so pissed one day that I took the crib apart because I knew I was never going to go into labor:rotfl2:

It sounds like the two of you are going to be awesome parents, best of luck to you:love:

Awww, that is so sweet!!

I see we are close in due dates, and I am getting to excited to meet this new little one. My house is in no shape to welcome a baby right now - SIL just moved in, etc., but the anticpation of "what will he look/sound/smell", etc like, is just about enough to do ya in..

I hope the rest of your pg is smooth, fast and healthy..

CONGRATS!!

And KaterKat - I literally LOL at you dressing the cats up. My cat is 20+, so not thinking that will work here!

I miss my little men in my belly! They are 10 and 14! I remember how I'd love to sit there and shake hands with them. That little fist would punch out and I'd push back, then it would go away and punch someplace else.....

awww, great now I'm tearing up.

The hiccups....not cute. They were CONSTANT! It was a little much.:rotfl:

:thumbsup2 12-18 month clothes!! I had the 9 pound cat in the newborn stuff and the 15 pound cat in the 6-9 month clothes.

Hmm, I should ask them if they prefer being stuffed into clothes pre-baby, or being terrorized by the toddler post-baby...
