With the new tickets can you if you buy a 7 day MYW with no hopping and you get plus opions with it, can you go to a water park in the am and head to DTD in the pm shopping and eating? Another one is do you need a ticket to get to DTD to just shop and eat and not do DQ and Pleasure island?

You don't need a ticket for DTD at all. Only for Disney Quest, Cirque, and access to the PI clubs in the evenings.

Aside from the above, DTD is just a bunch of restaurants and retail stores.

The hopping portion only applies the the 4 major theme parks, so if you go to a major park in the morning, that uses a "day" of your pass, but you can hop to another Major park the same day, and it will still only take that one day. However, if you then go to Typhoon Lagoon for the afternoon, that uses one of the magic plusses. DTD is not a gated attraction, however Disney Quest and the clubs at PI are. So, if you are only going to eat or shop, you won't have to use another plus, but if you decide to go to Disney Quest, that will take another Magic Plus and then if you decide to visit one of the clubs at PI on your way out, that would take a 3rd.
