Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I've had some videos pending first review since the 12th. I still put in about 10 videos, in hopes that they get approved the first time around. I'm very worried they will not approve them in time for me to re-do them. Then the videos will all turn to PPP when the month switches over (from what I've read.)

I know! Seriously. We are running out of time to redo before we don't get money for them!

I had some approved within a day, others pending for almost 3 weeks. I did a bunch of craft items last week and out of 11 I did, 8 were approved for upfront payment in less than 24 hours, 2 I have to redo (although they were done just like the others :confused3 ) and one still pending. Then, some I did 3 weeks ago were just approved today.

So, are y'all saying that if we redo the ones not approved for upfront payment must be done by month's end? Last month we had until payment was made. Also, what do they plan to do about the ones not even reviewed until after the month is over?

Anyway, it has been a good month. I've got 16 approved for upfront payment, 2 I need to redo, and 1 still pending. I need to also try one more to make that 20.

Good luck to all!

My approvals are finally coming through. I re-did my movie review and it was accepted. The rest are being approved first round. 6 down, 3 more to be checked. I guess I better make a few more for this month.

Well I have had a great day too! I have uploaded 11 videos, 9 are now accepted and 2 I have needed to redo for about a week and just hadn't gotten to yet. Wish I had now! YIPPEE.

All but the one I sent in yesterday has been approved! Someone at Expo is working overtime today.

:lmao:
So far I've had 2 reviews and one blooper approved, and one kicked back, 4 more pending. but its been a vacation month, so I'll get in what I can this last week and hope for the best!

I think I need to make a goal of 20 videos next month. I did 11 this month and I really should have done more.

Now all 8 of mine are approved. I need to get to work tomorrow and make a few more. I'm trying to do one for my Wii Fit without looking like a total doofus.

Finally got all my pending ones approved. Now I just need to redo those 2 that they requested me to. I'm up to 17 approved. YEAH :cool1: DH had his 7 pending approved but has 3 prior ones to redo. Next month, I'm going to get started earlier, of course I always so that!

Nothing like the last minute! I uploaded 6 tonight, and felt SOOOO bad, but its been a busy month! The last one went up at 11:54!
So, my final tally for may is 6 approved, 6 pending, one re-uploaded. Not bad for a month with a road trip to Maine, a camping trip and strep throat!
I PROMISE I'll have them done by the 15th this month! especially since I already know what I am going to review.
Now if I could just get DH back on board!

I uploaded 17 last month. I had several I had to redo. It is a little aggravating because I had 2 book reviews that they rejected, saying I needed to read an excerpt from the book or open it up and show the inside, but then I had 1 that did not get rejected and I never opened it or read any of it.

I had a few reviews that I said positive things about, but never used the phrase, "I like this because...." so when they were rejected, I said the same thing, but just said, "I like this because...."

I did a potty seat review with my dd that I think is real cute. We did not rehearse or anything. I didn't tell her what to say, she just started talking.

I just read this from June's promotion:

How Can I Make Money?

To get started, grab a digital camera or camcorder and film yourself talking about the products you love or love to hate. If your videos have what it takes to inform and entertain, you'll earn up to $10 - a little extra cash to help you buy more stuff!

Here's a little insight on how we determine payment amounts:

* Popularity - products that are searched on the web and on ExpoTV are in demand. We want to reward members for reviewing products that other consumers are looking for online. The newer the better! But remember, the 100th review of a product has less value to the community than the first – so be sure to tell us about products when you FIRST get them – don't wait 6 months!
* Quality of Information – reviews with clear sound, picture, and product demonstration are ideal contenders for payment

It says UP TO $10. Has it been that way and I've just totally missed it? I know that if it's not approved for upfront payment, then it's $0 earned, except for PPV. However, this UP TO $10 has me worried.

That has me worried too. I'm hoping they will explain on their forums a bit better. How do we know what is popular and what isn't? I'd hate to put a lot of work into something and have it denied because it's not popular.

okay, I admit I have not schlepped through all 200 pages of this thread, but I am going to do it, but it seems like the information on the first few pages is different from the ones on the last, so could someone clarify a couple of things for me?

How much do you get paid per video?

How many videos are you allowed to do a month, I signed up with Expo and it looks like 20?

How do you know what to review? Anything?

TIA!! Need to pay off that Disney trip!!

I also signed up for shared reviews, and it seems a bit complicated, so could some one explain:

What is the group of friends you have to build and the voting??

How exactly do you make money? TIA

Expo TV changes their terms each month. I think this month's payment amount is confusing a few of us. Last month, it was $10 for a good quality review. You get one chance to fix any problems Expo finds with the review. If it isn't approved, then you get a penny per play (PPP). That means anytime someone watches your review, you get a penny. Those pennies can really add up.

I also signed up for shared reviews, and it seems a bit complicated, so could some one explain:

For Shared Reviews, you get paid if the review you write is in the top 5 (I think) of the subcategory and for any votes you make for reviews that are tops. So the more friends you make, the more people who are likely to vote for you.

June Announcements - Screening Process & Upfront Payments

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We may not be responding to every forum thread, but we want you to know that we’ve been listening to your feedback and have made some improvements to our video screening process starting this month including:
Speeding up the review process
Making our feedback more consistent
Being less nitpicky about personal opinion
Taking responsibility for sync issues

Some of you may have noticed that we now ‘pay up to $10’ for product reviews. What does this mean?

We hope to be able to pay $10 for each review, however if certain categories become bloated we will need to pay less per video so we don’t have to close a category early. In the past, we’ve heard from members that closing a category mid-month is not ideal. Instead, we will be able to keep paying for helpful reviews, just at a slightly lower upfront payment.

We want to thank everyone who’s provided feedback in the forums or via contact us over the last few months as we continue to refine our process and product catalogue. Keep the comments coming – we are listening!

Thanks for posting this. I guess we better get our videos in early before that category gets "bloated."
