I have a premiere acct with PP and I was not charged any fees when I was paid by Exptv. I found the following quote in their forums regarding PP.

She can. My DD13 has done quite a few for me and have had a couple approved already. I asked this question in their forums and they answered back and told me she could do the review with my consent.

If you want info go to the forums first...they always seem to answer everyone there.

I didn't see the age requirement when I submitted videos featuring DD, almost 7, and DS, 4. One of each has been approved/posted. They are the demonstrators, you hear me talking and see my arm/hand. They were approved, so it guess its ok> hope so, because they love doing it, and I have more of them to download!

Me too! Sounds too good to be true, LOL. I actually opened a second account to get my ExpoTV payments as my usual account is Premier.

noooooo! I just had FIVE videos rejected! all the ones of the WDW parks that I originally had pictures it but the file size was too big and I redid with out pictures... apparently they want photos and anything that is disney bought cant be reviewed either.... has to be "nationally available"

now im pooey. Butttt, I guess I will just re-do them and now the destinations are worth $10 instead of $5. Maybe it works out better.

but still. the word rejected makes me sad

Bummer! I am sorry that they didn't accept your reviews, but like you said, now you can earn more for them this month, so maybe it is good. I am excited to see your park reviews - I am trying to put some together from our last trip with photos, but it seems like it is taking forever. Good luck to you!

My DS4 does reviews for play now! He thinks it is fun. I was wondering if I could submit it with him but me talking.

I am watching teresajoy's review of the quality inn and just laughing! It really isn't funny if you are staying there but her review is funny!

Has anyone ever noticed that any of their spliced videos were no longer spliced by the time they got to expo? Example: I had a video that was originally 56 seconds long but I had added a segment to the beginning and a segment to the end to make it about 1 min 20 seconds total and now when I check it in the preview section on expo, the video shown is my original 56 second video minus the added parts. It will most likely get rejected because of that. This "missing scenes" problem has happened more than once when I check my previews. I have since given up on splicing.

Once you become a Premeir PP customer, you are charged for every single transaction in which you accept money... this is whether the money came from a cc card payment or a PP fund payment. You are charged this fee all the time. PP figures that you are being charged for every single payment into your account because PP is providing you a way to accept cc payments. I am not sure if I am explaining it right, but once you become a premier PP user, PP makes you pay fees for every single payment coming into your account. That is why it is darn good that expo only pays out monthly.

I have the pemier account and am not charged a fee to receive money from pinecone or lightspeed. I have over 60 payments from them this year. I'm only charged a fee when I receive a payment from a buyer on ebay.

Yep im sure its because of no pictures. I posted a thread on their forum asking specifics to travel destinations and the administrator said there has to be footage or pictures of yourself at the destination because it would just be too easy to exploit that category. I understand but now im gonna have to go dig through that box of photos that is not organized in anyway to get photos...oiiy...

Well im a little ticked now. I just found out that automotive tools will fall under the home and garden category. This really stinks because DH has loads of tools, not just wrenches or screwdrivers but expensive items and air tools. He has gone through about all of his sporting good stuff, so now hes going to end up with 2 dollar videos for august..poo poo poo...I dont think its fair that an air tool that costs over 400 dollars will fall into a home gardening tool category while kids toys gets the 10 dollars. Oh well fooey maybe I will just have him go through DS's room and do all his toys with him.

two things I dont quite understand...

1. I have been doing things around my kitchen like a black & decker blender and toastmaster toaster... things found in a KITCHEN. Which would lead me to believe it fits in the category of kitchen and housewares, a $10 category. Well, when i find the product and click on the picture of it, you know how it gives you "key words" you can add in your description? Well, the words "Home and Garden" show up, leading me to think that they are classifying these in home and garden, which doesnt make sense. I mean, for the two I uploaded so far, I just went back and said the item wasnt found and put it into the kitchen category myself, (with a subcategory of small appliances-- which makes sense, right?) But I am still wayyyy confused on what goes into the kitchen/housewares as opposed to the home/garden. I dont want to upload all of these thinking they are $10 reviews and for some reason they put them as $2. For example... I reviewed two different fish products for a pond. One that gets them adjusted to the tap water in the pond and another that removes pond sludge so the fish have healthy water to live in. I would put these in the pet section under "aquatic life" being its purpose is to help FISH, if there were no FISH in the pond these products are useless. But I'm worried they will say its a pond product and place it in the lawn and garden section. Maybe Im just dumb... but I confused and dont want to be unpleasantly surprised when I dont get $10 for some products.

2. So far I have uploaded 3 videos. It goes through the process of uploading and them after awhile it says there is an error and it can't find the video server. It is still hourglassing though, so I leave it... it eventually says the video is uploaded. When I go to the videos section of my profile (where you view if they are pending, rejected, etc.) it says its received, but no preview is available. I know the preview doesnt show up right away, but from my past experience, it shows up within 10 minutes. These were all from YESTERDAY, so I dont know why a day later the video is still not available. I dont know if it has something to do with the error before it says its uploaded successfully or what? But I dont want to upload my videos, them not be there and they count them against my 100 and I cant upload them again since it says they are received. Arggg. Does anyone know whats happening? Or is anyone experienceing something similiar??

I was really excited at first with the possibility of making $1,000. But I'm really confused between the categories and dont want to waste my time doing $2 reviews when Im expecting $10. And the whole uploading this is really frustrating.

I have the same paypal question, if that is the way they do it I will have a problem because my Paypal acct. is different from my email address I am using for Expotv. So you sent in 100 and they have only approved 5!!! Why is that We haven't started yet, just signed up last night and I am so excited about it, I sure hope it pays off!!!

Is this how the rest of you did it as well? Did any of them get approved this way? So did can you do it for each resort you've been to? Like could I do one for WL, one for POP and one for POFQ? Or is Disney just one destination??

Me too- I've got around 8 uploaded since the 1st of Aug but all of them are stuck on rec but "not available'. I finally was able to get the "contact us" page to load and I sent them a question about this problem- as I suspected, they haven't responded yet

I kind of feel like it's done that way to keep me from getting my videos in???? I mean- before "maint." last Weds, I uploaded one after another, was able to preview almost right away and had 3 approved instantly ( movies ) anyway, now I can upload one of two just fine ( delayed though ) and then I get the cannot find server- I wonder if the programed the site to do that to slow down submissions- if they would let me upload then I could quit sitting here tying up site space and let someone else get a video uploaded-

The four I uploaded on Aug 1, were still in the "preview not available" status until this morning, Aug 3. Now they are in the normal preview status, so don't worry, looks like expo is way way behind in viewing. I can't imagine how much time that must take. Hey, I wonder if they're hiring?! lol

I agree, the $10 and $2 categories are confusing. I wonder how the recent toy recall is going to affect that category. I would think they'd have to pull all the reviews of those recalled toys.

ps.. Nicole, I think that any of the items you got at WDW that you notice are available at your local Disney store, would be fine to review. Just mention that while you got them in WDW, they are available at your local Disney store. I am thinking you were referring to the plush characters you bought there?
