Another Use year question

Ok, I think I am fine but double checking. I have a June use year. We are looking to book a trip for Jan 2017. I currently have no points left for 2015. So my next set of points come in June 2016. For our trip in Jan 2017, I plan on using June 2016 points, June2017 points, and June 2018 points.
Can I do that. In my mind I am rolling over and then borrowing. Or am I out of luck, because our trip is in Jan. So will I only be able to use June 2016 and June 2017?

As a June use year, your dates in Jan 2017 will be in your June 2016 use year which means you can use all your 2016 points and borrow up to all of your 2017 use year's points. But that's it. The only exception would be if you had had points from this 2015 use year that you could bank into 2016. I hope it's not much that you're short so you can perhaps buy those few points from MS??

Sounds like you need to buy more points

You could look to transfer in points from another owner to cover the balance. And even give you a little cushion for future years.

Kathy, I thought of that as well. I think I will have to go that route.
