awwww, that's sweet!

I've been looking at all the air fare deals and whining. :lmao:

I know. I wish we could go this year, but there is no way. I have no idea when we will finally be settled, we HAVE to get into a bigger place.. and who knows what is up with my husbands job right now. But that doesnt stop me from looking. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Safeway has a good meat sale going on right now. An extra 20% meat... I got a GINORMOUS beef roast, almost $20. regular price.. for $8. or something? Not bad. Then the clearance meat that is 50% off.. plus you get the extra 20% off.

wow! That's a great deal!

Sadly my Cub doesn't have any clearance meat. Super Target if I hit it on the right day/ time brings me some scores but otherwise.. sigh.. nope!

I will be buying boneless skinless chicken b on my next rip, B1G1 plus I have coupons to make it even cheaper-- whoohooo.

And a rotisserie chicken meal deal.. stacking store and manu coupons for a complete meal at $6.50 .. that I didn't have to make :lmao:

I love that safeway has started doing the clearance meat thing. If I get there at the right tme in the morning.. they have tons of stuff. Makes me happy. :lmao:

okay I admit it, I am a reality TV junkie.

Watching wife swap, this one is modeling agency owner, primp and pretty all girls "looks matter" family meets backwoods wisconsin "average is okay" all boys family.

Love it! The Wisconsin family sounds like me.. the dad said "take time to be with your kids now before they grow up and don't have time to be around you ". :goodvibes yep.
Minus the bear hunting -- ewww.

Valentine's Day is coming up quick...
DBF and I will be in San Diego for the Supercross on Feb. 14th. How romantic huh? I don't want a tailgate BBQ for Valentine's dinner. :rotfl: I'm sure we'll go out to eat on Friday night or Sunday.

you know, you'd think after all these years on this planet i would have learned NOT to go to the grocery store hungry. and yet i still occasionally do that, and overspend.

well, today was the mother of all errors, going to costco when hungry! :rotfl2:
ka-ching, $272 later...! :scared1:

granted, some of it was non-food items: turbotax software, pull-ups and wipes (grrrr!), a word search puzzle book for dh, heat wraps for dh's back. and some of it was standard stuff (cases of chocolate milk to put in the boys' school lunches, megaboxes of cereal, mac & cheese.) but then there was the nut snack bars "salty and sweet" (holy moley, i tried to resist and failed) and the gigantor muffins, and i let ds4 talk me into a box of their yummy chocolate chip cookies. all the boys, including dh, dug into the cookies, so i won't be surprised if they're gone by sunday. and some sort of flavored water drink that we sampled and both liked, got some of those, too. temporary insanity, i tell ya! :sad2:

Poo.. I just got an email from the the hospital.. I cant take the beasties with me to the tour. Not surprised, I didnt think they would let me. Guess I go alone.
odd... we took ds8, who was 3yo at the time. he was very curious about everything, it was cute. :goodvibes

in fact, now that i think about it, i'm pretty sure it was a tour designated for families. i think there were other kids as well. they don't have such a thing at your hospital? where will you deliver, tacoma general?

there also was a sibling class, where you could take your child so they can ask questions about what it will be like having a baby in the house, or when mommy's in the hospital, whatever. had ds signed up for that, but i guess it wasn't terribly popular, it got canceled. too bad. :(

IM here!!! but then... I always am. not a whole lot of places for me to go. :lmao:
Aw!! Sorry I mised ya!

Oooh! I love those salty sweet bars. I have a box of them too!!! Not good!! :guilty:

E took the day off of dialysis yesterday, his batch of solution wasn't done on time -- decided not to fight with "running on bags" (premade solution 6 bags at 5 pound each hanging from a pole high above my head-- UGH! Tiring set up).

Ran to the grocery store to get my first round of deals done.
Bought my $30 worth of 10 boxes of cereal, 5 packages of yogurt (4 pks), and a drink to boost it up to the $30 mark needed.

Bought a few things for dinner.. rotiserrie chicken deal with mashed potatoes, gravy (mmm, it was yummy but no way would I pay full price, very pricey without sale and coupons), salad (buy 2 get free bananas), french bread (sale), package of ground turkey (sale coupon 68¢ ), pasta sauce (68¢ coupon) and a few things that E added to the cart (salad dressing, baco bits, croutons, cheese) .

Total was $65, handed over my wad of coupons. Now = $38
Waited waited waited for my $15 in coupons to print......... and nothing happened.. noooooooooooo. :scared1:

Walk our cart and receipt over to customer service, to get my credit. Guy was rude. "In these cases it's because you didn't buy the right items or not enough."

I patiently pointed out on receipt that I bought 15 of the $1.99 and one drink at $1.25 to get it past the $30 (pointing at ad to show products). I wasn't mad, I just wanted my credit.

He looks at receipt and marks off only the 7 boxes of cherrios, I say "there are more products than just the cereal".
He gives a Harummph and says in a testy voice "I'm not in the mood to argue" and gave $15 credit back onto our card.

umm, okay .. but you don't have to be mean about it!:headache:

$23 later, I happily bring my loot home and enjoy my dinner. :goodvibes

Checked my receipt and the ad.
I think it was two of the yogurt flavors (blueberry acai, pomegranate berry) that are not coded correctly for the sale.

Thery show up as different on the receipt description and the item numbers don't match the regular flavors (strawberry, vanilla, peach).. funny thing.. one of the oddball flavors is pictured in the ad. :lmao: :lmao:

Anyone need some cheerios? I can build a wall with the amount of cereal I have here. A wall of cereal that didn't cost me a penney! :thumbsup2
