Another transfer question

Hello and sorry if this has been asked...I tried to do a search and could not find what I was looking for.

Question:

I own small contracts at 2 different resorts (OKW & VWL). I transferred points out of one (OKW) and put them into the other contract (VWL). I know that you are only allowed one transfer a year so does this mean I cannot transfer points into the account I transferred out of. These are from an uncle who does not want his this year and offered them to me after I did this. UGH...I hope you understood this and TIA.

I do the same as you. I have a smaller OKW Dec contract and a larger OKW and VWL Sept contract. I transfer the Dec points into the Sept contract every year. However, every time I do, the CM tells me I have used my once a year transfer in or out for each of the contract.

However, you might call DVC and see what they say.

Technically it sounds like you have used your once/year transfer for your contracts. Are you sure that you actually transferred points between your accounts rather than just combine points from your 2 accounts to make a reservation? Are your uncle's points for the same use year as the points you already transferred? If so and if MS doesn't make an exception for you, then perhaps your uncle could just make a reservation for you rather than transfer the points to you. Good luck!

I have a question? I thought that you had to transfer from another member's points. We have multiple contracts, are you saying that I can transfer all of my points from 1 contract to another if I am short points for a reservation at the 11 month window? I will be 56 points short on my Auliani reservation but have 150 Bay Lake points, can I transfer them all to Auliani? I was talking to MS today and they told me to make my reservation for 6 days and then call at the 7 month window for the last day and hope that there will still be a room. Thanks in Advance for any help.

Transfered points retain their home resort status and UY so transferring your BLT points for use at Auliani won't do you any good at 11 months.

We also have two contracts and I was told that the rule of one transfer per use year does not apply -only is the case when there are different owners.

no. as stated, transferring doesn't change the home resort.

if you have contracts that are all under the same member number, you would not need to transfer pts.

if you had multiple contracts with different use years, you would be unable to combine pts to book a single night without using up a transfer to move the pts from one contract to the other...that is all that is being discussed.
