Another Stroller question..sorry probably dumb but...

If you bring a diaper bag do you leave it with the stroller when you go on the rides? Should I just bring some diapers and wipes and no bag? I am sort of conflicted. I would have never worried about this but I read a thread a few weeks ago that a stroller was stolen then my friends just got back from there 2 weeks ago and their stroller was also stolen so I am not sure what to do. We are bringing 2 small umbrella type strollers. One for my 5 year old b/c I know he will get tired and 1 for my 2 year old. I will need diapers for my daughter. We are staying at a resort hotel but I don't want to go back and fourth just for diaper changes. Also do you guys usually change diapers in the batrhrooms or do you just do it in the stroller in a corner? I am not sure how dirty the bathrooms are to lay her down? Any info or suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Personally I just throw diapers, wipes, etc in the compartment under the stroller. However we always stay within walking distance so when I unfold the stroller on the first day of our trip I don't fold it back up until we are loading the car to head home. If you are taking the monorail a diaper bag would be helpful when folding the stroller. I have never had a problem with anyone stealing our strollers however I would NOT leave anything of value in them.
I really don't think anyone would want to take diapers, wipes and other baby/toddler stuff (and if they need it that bad - let them have it! ). I personally would probably not leave an expensive diaper bag - that might tempt someone.
There are changing tables in the restrooms (just like any restaurant), including the men's! Both parks also have a BabyCare Center where there are changing stations and also a little potty. There are also a few family restrooms around.
When my babies were very young I did change them in their stroller. But that gets hard to do when they get older.

I brought a very little over the one shoulder bag that held 2 diapers, some wipes, a wallet and sunscreen. DH or I wore it on the ride, but I would have left it in the stroller if I took my wallet out. I changed my daughter in various washrooms all over the parks and found them to be quite clean. At most locations, they provided paper mats to place on top of the change table.
I noticed a lot of people with bulky diaper bags and strollers tipping over (when they removed the child), I think it would be much easier to just have the bare essentials on hand.

I find their bathrooms to be very clean. I would just put down a changing pad (just like at any other place). As far as strollers are concerned, we have never had any problems. We use one of the jogger style strollers which is fairly expensive and no one has ever bothered it. Once I even left my $500 (+) Nikon camera in my bag in my stroller ( by accidnet) and no one touched it. But, to be on the safe side, just pack a light weight backback and put a few major necessites in it just in case and keep it withyou all the time.Traveling back to your resort is probaly at least a 30 to 40 minute trip. Thats a loooong trip with a stinky diaper. I think each park has a baby care station and they have diapers there. Not sure if they are free. I know Magic Kingdom has this...not absolutley sure about the other 3 parks. But in a pinch it would be good to know you could go there if you had to.

We have a small backback that we put diapers, wipes and DS's special food in. We put it on the back of the stroller as we walk around and then when we park the stroller to go on a ride we just grab it and go. Sometimes i leave a few loose diapers in the stroller. Like others said, don't leave your bag with the stroller - take it with you.

We take a backpack as well (with or without babies in tow) and don't leave it in the stroller since we keep wallets in the camera in there as well.

I have always wanted to bring our bugaboo stroller because we love it. But I never have since it's a $800 stroller. I would be devestated if it was stollen. We always rent one then I don't have to worry. BTW, we rent from babysaway.com

We just got back from DL and had a stroller. We had a backpack that we kept and extra change of clothes for each kids, diapers, wipes, kleenex. For the most part we kept it in the basket of the stroller and had no problem at all. If we were in a longer line, we took it out and took it with us on the rides. We left nothing valuable. One time I left my camera too, it was zipped inside the backpack, but no troubles. One time we had some stuff the kids had bought in it, and they were fine. We did the changing stations in the bathrooms and one did time a stroller change. But the bathrooms were very clean I felt!

We take a back pack. But I usually leave diapers and wipes in the basket of the stroller. With a double stroller, we avoid having to fold it for the monorail or train at all costs and just walk.

Ive taked a stroller to disneyland everytime Ive gone for the past 7 years and nobody has ever touched it, I sure hope thats the same when we go in a week. I dont see it being very easy changing a 2 year old in an umbrella stroller, but I usually change my baby in the stroller, but I dont bring unbrella strollers. I bring a backpack to carry wallets and my camera when we are on rides. I dont bother with an actual diaper bag though.

I always take a stroller or two and haven't had an issue. I throw the essentials and a change of clothing into the bag and leave that with the stroller. I carry essentials in a hip bag or in my pockets. (I've narrowed down my essentials considerable since our first trip.)

I agree with everyone else, we have been multiple times with different strollers, (some cheapy ones, and our really nice ones.... both single and double strollers at different times). We have NEVER had a problem. Sometimes the CMs will move the strollers around to clear up walkways, esp. around POTC and IASW.

What I find best for me, is to pack most everything in a diaper bag and take it with us when we leave the stroller. I also leave a few loose diapers and a travel wipes container in the bottom of the stroller.

As a PP stated, if someone was going to steal a diapers and/or wipes they must have REALLY needed it. However, I know that I would not want to rely on a situation where I left everything in the stroller, only to have it stolen, and then end up in a situation when we REALLY needed a diaper/wipes/extra set of clothes.

And I also agree, never leave anything worth value, just in case (whether it be monetary value or sentimental value). I would never leave my camera or wallet intentionally, and I would never leave my kid's blankies either. Lord knows what would happen at bedtime if we didn't have those!

One of the stroller tips I picked up here before our trip: Park your stroller "backwards" to make it harder for someone else to grab n go. The handles are up against the "parking area" or wall or whatever as opposed to next to the walkway. It's just harder to maneuver if one was trying to make a quick getaway. We left our stroller somewhere by Tomorrowland Terrace near the Matterhorn while we did all the rides in that area. We got off Autopia (at park closing) and headed back toward where we left the stroller. My son said, "Look, there's our stroller." I said, "No, it just looks like ours. Ours is over here..." Then I gave it a 2nd look and realized it was ours. Weird. I guess a CM had moved all the remaining strollers in the area and put them in one long line out in the open by Autopia???

We carried our backpack with us everywhere at first. By the 3rd day we started leaving it in the bottom of the stroller when we'd go on rides. It just had jackets and snacks/water and glow bracelets/necklaces in it. We kept the valuables with us at all times.

We have had one thing stolen out of our stroller, one thing stolen OFF of our stroller, and one thing stolen when we left it on a bench for mere moments.

We leave NOTHING behind, not even waters. Because even though those things (except for the build your own light saber left on the bench) were worth very little, it still HURT to have them taken. They were ours, and they were taken.

Those were on three separate trips. I did have a rental stroller taken entirely...I searched the whole area and it was gone gone gone, but luckily with a rental you just take the receipt to the rental areas and get a new one. No problems with our personal strollers, though, apart from the CMs moving strollers around when they need to change the traffic patterns.
