Yes, unless they over book. Which all the other airlines do to, it's not something that happens only on SW. I've flown SW about 8 times in the last few years and I've never had an over sold flight. So, it doesn't happen often.

You're guaranteed a seat on any fare category you may purchase with Southwest. However, you will not get an assigned seat since SW does not do that. .
