The shareholders' club application says that one must be an "individual shareholder". The only brokerage account I have is my IRA account . Is that going to throw them when I send in my statement to prove membership? The statements have my name on them, but then they make reference that it's an IRA account.

I've e-mailed their website, but I thought that the recipient of the e-mail probably won't have any idea of what an IRA is.

I also have to confess to not knowing what an IRA account is! On this side of the Atlantic the initials IRA are normally associated with Irish terrorism, although I'm pretty sure they've not opened a brokerage firm. If you mean an account which holds shares in your name, but held centrally, then this will be fine. Just send them your most recent statement and a completed Shareholders' Club application form and EuroDisney will process your membership.

Do you know that there is a Shareholders' Club website? You can find it from EuroDisney's corporate website here.

Rob

Oops! I should have considered that and spelled it out: Individual Retirement Account. It has my name, then some other weird stuff that might confuse them. It might look to them like some sort of trust account if they aren't familiar with it.

I keep thinking of what one person wrote: France INVENTED the word "bureaucracy."

I don't want to get into some trans-Atlantic squabble over whether my shares qualify, but I don't want to open a separate brokerage accountjust for that because the minimum balance requirements will be MUCH MORE than the price of the shares.

EuroDisney seem pretty relaxed about the different ways in which you can own their shares with regard to becoming SC members. My guess is that your retirment account would be just fine.

All My DLP shares are in my IRA and I had no questions about qualifying.

I bought my shares yesterday. I don't know if I'll really save any money since we're staying off site and probably won't eat at many table service restaurants, but it will be cool to enter through the special entrance and eat the breakfast, etc.
