I was just wondering how many people you can fit into a car? There will be 5 of us going (myself, DH, DB, DD10, and DS7) Could we all sit together or will they split us up? Has anyone sat 5 in one car and were you comfortable?

Thanks for any info!

Most of the cars have three rows that each seat two people comfortably. You can squeeze three people into a row if one or two of them are children, and if you don't mind sitting close together.

The Sci-Fi cars seat 6, and they will even seat 7 if you ask at check-in. There are 3 rows, comfortably seating 2 in each row, 3 can fit easily if they are children.

I love Sci-Fi. I am sure that 3 people could fit in a row. Me and DS sat in one row and there was plenty more room.

Well thanks for everyone's quick response. I feel much better. When I called the other day, to double check on a few things, the CM told me I had 2 cars reserved. because we couldn't all fit in one car :confused3. Maybe she meant two rows. She wasn't very helpful and I told my husband, "even tho she told me to have a magical day, I don't really think she meant it!" :rotfl2:

Im gonna try and call back today and see what they meant by two cars :confused3.

If it's only my husband and I, will they seat strangers in the same car too?
thanks!
(sorry to hi-jack your thread)

In fact, AIUI, if it's only your husband and you, it's more like they'll seat *you* in "strangers'" car. :rotfl: I mean, I think they usually put couples in the last row of a car in which a family (of 4-5, like the OP's) is in the first two rows, right?

Yes, I believe that's true. DH and I once 'hitched a ride' in the back row when we went without the kids, lol.

3 in a seat can be tight. There are 3 rows and 2 to a seat wrks good.

I wouldn't spend much time asking them about that. Reservations just captures the number of people. You won't actually be assigned your car(s) until you get there and check in.

How do we sit if there are 3 of us (me, DH, DS)? I'm sure all 3 of us won't fit in a seat meant for 2 (we aren't small people). So will we be seated in 2 rows? If DH and DS sit in one row will I be basically having lunch alone?

And that, in a nutshell, is why I won't go there. Sadly. :guilty:

It would be like if the three of you took a car to an actual drive-in movie. You're not literally alone but yes, either your back is to them or theirs to you. You can still communicate but it is a bit different due to this.

FWIW, they do have a few normal tables in addition to the cars.

Aside from the cars only seating 2 people across each row in the cars, there is an optional area with tables and chairs if you don't want to be sitting separately.
