Looking at the DVC point chart they break it down into daily and weekly points. What is considered a week? Saturday to Saturday?

"weekly" is just there to be helpful. a week = 7 consecutive nights within that season = 5 weeknights + 2 weekend nights within that season.

there is no discount for staying a week. you pay the daily rate per night if you cross seasons.

They're just showing you the total of 5 weeknights and 2 weekend nights, to save you the math.

Add up the days of your stay and forget about the weekly number.

There are times when you can't use the weekly number to figure out the number of points for a seven night stay. For times like NYE, Christmas and Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, etc. The points will go up right before the holiday and then down right after the holiday. So if you are looking at Dec 28 through Jan 4, you are falling into at least two different seasons.

So figure your points by the night.
