Another Question- Old Key West in September

My family and I want to go to Disney and stay at OKW from September 7th-21st. I dont want to make the reservations now, because I am waiting to be told if I got this job offer. I will know if I got or did not get the job by July 31st. If I make reservations on the 31st of July, will I be able to book reservations at OKW in september. Is this enough time book for OKW? Anyone have similiar experiences?

And if its not enough time would i be able to cancel my reservations? How would that work? Would I lose banked points in addition to current use year points?

There is no penalty for cancelling a reservation as long as it's 31 days or more before arrival (and no borrowed points are involved).

I'd just make the reservation now. If necessary you can still cancel on July 31 and the points will just be returned to your account subject to normal banking and use policies.

What if the points were borrowed would there be a penalty if it was 31 days or more of notice?

if the points were borrowed then they have to stay in the year you borrowed them too.

they can't go back to next year use point year.

that say Sept is fairly easy - now if Disney is using the excess (unreserved villa) at OKW and SSR (like they do generally) for their free dinning special that changes things.

then it might be gone
