Another question about Dreams Unlimited package

I purchased this through the DU website, we are planning our day for next Thursday with pick up at Beach Club. When I called to schedule our pickup with Mears, the lady that answered the phone had never heard of this package, or DU. She told me several times that we have to go to the Mears office at the airport to make a reservation for the round trip to Universal and get our coupons. I kept telling her we already had a coupon via e-mail. After I read it to her, she grudgingly gave us a pick up time for the 28th.

As you can imagine, I'm a little worried. Has anyone else been through this? Will it be safe to NOT stop at Mears when we arrive on tomorrow? We are in a major hurry to get to BC and PFTS!

Call DU and see what they say or call Mears back again. Many people here have used that deal without any issues.

Your vouchers from DU will work just fine. There are so many types of vouchers that many times the people who answer the phones don't know what they are. Just an example, DU at Universal stands for Destination Universal packages, I'm not surprised that a Mears employee might not be familiar with Dreams Unlimited. But the voucher will be perfectly fine to use. I wouldn't worry one bit.

It went fine. Pick-up was right on time, even five minutes early. We made a stop at Pop, then Discovery Cove so the trip took almost an hour. It was not easy at the end of the day though. You are supposed to call two hours in advance for the pickup time you decide on, but to do this I was on hold for about 20 minutes. Probably best to do this when you book.

There were tons of people waiting at the bus stop when we got there at 6:15, and a lot of confusion. Drivers were told which resort at Disney they were going to, and how many people, but didn't seem to have names. We seemed to be the only people going to BC, and the third van that arrived picked us up. But you had to go up to each driver that arrived and see who they were looking for, along with everyone else. This transportation option is very popular! A big bus arrived as we were leaving, I think it was for all the Pop people that were waiting.

We actually left on time though, and it only took half an hour to get back, with one stop at CBR. Very easy, we were lucky. I was listening to the radio on the way over, and the dispatcher kept asking who was available and no one was answering. So it might not always be as smooth.

Oh, and the voucher that was e-mailed to me worked fine, though I didn't have one for the return. The morning driver wrote out a card for us to give to the evening driver.

Great things to know. I really like being prepared. I went ahead and booked it. It's just me by myself, so I'll have a little more patience as opposed to if I had my kids and my impatient husband with me!
