I know this threads are quite common but I like other's input.

We are going in October. This our make up trip from March 2020 cancellation.

7 people (4 adults, 3 kids). 2 rooms.

Would you rather Beach Club or Poly? We currently have reservation for BC but can swap over to Poly.

We have stayed at Beach Club, I love it. Know what to expect. My kids would love the pool.

BUT they would also love the theming, food, and Monorail access from Polynesian. Nobody has ever stayed at Polynesian from my party.

I think one deciding factor will be the Epcot monorail line. If that's not open within a reasonable time before booking, we will keep our reservation at BC.

Poly is gorgeous and, if you are spending a lot of time in MK, it's a great location. I have become addicted to the EP resort area, however. It's just so easy to get to EP, DHS and a variety of restaurants and activities in that area. Any time I can cut down on transportation time in WDW, I'm happy!

I don’t know the length of your trip but you might consider a split stay. I highly advocate for split stays! Half for easy access to HS & Epcot, the other for MK access. It’s the best of both worlds! And the kids would love getting to see & play in the fabulous pools at both resorts.

We have stayed at the BC and Poly a few times.

October will be very popular at Epcot because of F&WF. BC gives you easy access to F&WF and the new Ratatouille ride. Also gives you boat access to DHS. (The Skyliner to DHS really backs up in the morning.) Stormalong Bay normally is crowded. With COVID restrictions, you might end up waiting every day to get into the pool.

The Poly is a lot of fun and you'll get to experience it soon after its late July reopening. Poly rooms are a bit larger. Easy access to Dole Whips. Easy access to the Magic Kingdom. And you'll get to stay in one of the new Moana themed rooms! We like the Poly pool more than SB, but that's probably because every time we stay at the BC, the weather is only in the 70s, the water is too cool, and SB is packed.

It really depends on where you plan to spend most of your time and the age of the kids. (In my experience, younger children prefer being near the Magic Kingdom.)

If it was an adults trip, I'd say BC. Depending on the age of your children, it could go either way.

I'm partial to the Poly right now. First, the new rooms look GORGEOUS! Second, staying at the Poly in a Studio in February turned me into a handheld shower snob regarding resorts. No handheld shower head option, no dice for me. So until Beach Club gets a reno and gets new handheld shower heads, I'm not staying there.

Thanks for the replies. We are staying Saturday to Sunday (8 days, 1 of them will be at Universal).

Kids with us are 13, 9, 6.

I like the idea of a split stay but all the rest of my party is probably way too scared off of the hassle of re-packing their stuff and moving it. How is that working during COVID? Does bell services move your luggage to the new resort or do you have to do that yourself?

If you can still switch a reservation in October - that is amazing. We have looked and everything is booked full. Have fun.

Not sure if they have the 5th sleeper at BC, but we liked that about Poly. (I also really like split stays. We have done that with Poly/CR and Epcot area resorts.) And I do like the larger rooms at Poly, too. For parents, I have also always really, really liked dinner at V&A with my husband one night of the trip while the kids had a sitter. We had really excellent experiences with Kids Night Out. I miss when they used to have the childcare at Poly. That was amazing.

We did 2 nights at Pop and 2 at Coronado last month. Bell Services delivered our luggage with no issues. I've heard that the line has been getting backed up in the mornings, but that wasn't an issue for us. We dropped our stuff there on the way to AK. There might have been one party in front of us and it didn't take long at all.
