Another Park Visited - DLP March 2010

read them all brillant as usual :thumbsup2. loved the piccies.

David you mentioned that you used DVC points. we have used these in the past but now appear very poor value. did you get a special deal?

Susan

Hi Susan,

No special deal, I just didn't really bother going into the whole 'profit from renting points v. paying cash for the hotel' thing. I had always wanted to try DLP for myself so once I realised that we would have points spare this year I decided to use them to stay at the Disneyland Hotel 'for free'.

I have just read your report David and it made a wet afternoon much more bearable.
I must admit that I agreed with your closing comments.
I thought your pictures were, as usual, fantastic and captured the spirit of Disney, but even when looking through them I mentioned to DW that there seemed to be something missing that I couldn't put my finger on. The best example I could think of was the ToT building. It just didn't seem to have the imposing 'Wow' factor that you get with the one in Florida - and sort of seemed out of place surrounded by the more modern buildings.
You certainly looked like you had a good time though and I really enjoyed reading all about it :thumbsup2

Thanks for the compliments Kenny and I'm glad I could brighten up your afternoon. :thumbsup2

You're right the Tower of Terror is more or less a building amongst other buildings in DLP, in fact most of the buildings are - thinking back on it there doesn't seem to be much memorable theming to any of the buildings, which is maybe the 'something' that is missing. :confused3
