Another paper piecing question

When doing smaller paper piecings is it safe for your scrapbook to print your design off the computer in full color, cut them our and then piece them together? Is the ink used by your printer safe to use in scrapbooks and would you consider this cheating?

I haven't tried that but if it works and looks good, Who could call it cheating?
The books are yours there are no hard and fast rules. That's what great about crafting.
