Hi all!

Wow! I'm so glad to have found this site!

We used to go as a family to WDW when I was young every 2-3 years back in the 80s. It was great! I now have and 18m DD and want to be able to take her so she can experience the magic like I did. I'd like to take her when she's old enough to appreciate it (maybe 5 or 6y.o.), but I'm not sure if I can wait that long! My DH has never been. My goal is to be able to treat the 2 of them to a week at Disney for my DD's birthday some January. I was telling my DH about how I'm excited to be able to go to Disney in ~4 years and he thinks I'm nuts!

I think by the time we're ready to go, I'll have digested all of the info on these boards. Thanks DISers!

First of all, welcome to the Disboards.

Our first trip to Disney was taken when our son was just 1. As a matter of fact, he turned one with Mickey and his gang. Our daughter was just 11 on our first trip. They are now 12 and 22 and have 14 trips under their belts. To me, you are never too young to appreciate Disney World. I can still remember the look of wonder in our children's eyes even when they were young.

I wrote a trip report from our 2008 surprise trip and, if I do say so myself, it's a pretty fun read. The trip report from our 2009 trip is a work in progress. The links for both are below. I hope you'll come onboard. You'll find that I have a lot of really nice readers. We've become quite good friends. We'd love for you to join us.
