Have any of you seen the latest toy craze. The ZipZaps car is a radio-controlled car that is the size of a matchbox car that sells for $20 (complete) at Radio Shack. If you can find a store that has them in stock. There's a guy at work who went to three stores to find one. He brought it to work yesterday and that was the end of productivity for the day. We all took turns driving the miniature car around the office. DS James already told me that he wants one for his birthday.
So at lunchtime today, I wander into a Radio Shack only to discover that they just got their shipment of ZipZaps!!! I walked out of the store nearly $100 poorer. It could have been worse. I thought about buying everything they had in stock and selling it to friends back at work (or on Ebay). But I didn't. The hard part is that James' birthday is still 6 weeks away. And I want to play today.
I predict that this will be one of (if not the) hot toys for Christmas. And probably as hard to find as Tickle-Me-Elmo or Power Rangers (or any of those other hot toys from Christmases past).
Did I just make the first Christmas 2002 post on the DIS???
