Another Netflix newbie

Okay, I hate, hate, hate paying $100 per month for our digital HD cable with DVR. My husband, of course, loves it. I swear I don't see that much difference! Anyway, I'm trying to convince him to drop down to regular cable for $55 per month, ditch HD and the DVR and go with Netflix. We have TV everywhere it seems. We would need to be able to use Netflix instant streaming in the family room, and my 2 DDs rooms. I have a laptop, DD 12 has a laptop, DD 9 has a netbook and we have a Wii.

Question #1: Can we hook our laptops up to the TV and watch instant streaming?

Question #2: Can we watch instant streaming from our 1 account on 2 separate TVs at the same time?

Depends on the laptop but generally yes you can hook a laptop to a pc via an hdmi cable.

If you sign up for the lowest plan you can only stream 2 hours per month, the next plan up which runs 8.99 lets you stream unlimited. I have multiple devices that have all been streaming at the same time from the same account.

You sign up for netflix and they send you a disc for your wii system, make sure the wii is set up with the internet which you hook up right on your wii. There are other ways to get it in other rooms, blue ray, another game system, or I believe it is called a robuko box, from best buy, or some place like best buy. You can use your lap top and a Hdmi cable and hook it to the tv and use hulu.com thats alot of different tv stations as well. We dropped cable and are saving 100 a month and dont miss tv at all. Okay, thanks! I think I understand. I can stream from one account to different devices at the same time. Plus, I can hook my laptop up to the tv via a hdmi cable and stream?? Is that right???

We are on the 8.99 plan and we can only have 2 movies streaming at one time. When you try to stream a 3rd movie on an additional device it tells you that you can only have 2 going at once.
