Another McCain promise broken

When something is done in your name then it's up to you to disavow it.

McCain did it in April.

My guess McCain will not this time. (at least until it's too late)

Is Barack Obama going to *disavow* the money he accepted after promising to use public funding for his campaign? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 (Or perhaps he could just redistribute it. :lmao:)

Does this broken promise mean anything to you?

You were proven to be wrong. Why don't you just say, "Ooops, my bad!" instead of arguing about broken promises that weren't really broken since, once again, he didn't create or put out the ads.

Uhh... what have I been proven wrong on? McCain disavowed the ads in the spring but refuses too now.

Now if you really want to talk broken promises, let's talk income threshold for tax increases. Is it 250k? Or 200K? Or 150K?

250K if family your taxes go up.
200K if single your taxes go down.
150K in all cases you receive a tax cut.

Pretty easy to understand even for a McCain supporter and has not changed.

It's all about "spreading the wealth," remember?:lmao:

No, you said he broke his promise by making Rev. Wright a campaign issue when he has not done so.

So says the spin machine now....

I'm happy to address this. Obama never promised this. He offered to limit total campaign funding but only if it included the spending by the RNC and the DNC.

McCain declined that. ( the RNC usually has twice as much to spend then the DNC)

McCain on the other hand tried to get out of public financing but couldn't because he took several (illegal) loans against it:

This one is a tie.

e.

You sure about that?

Sorry, don't buy a bit of that where McCain is concerned.

Obama decided to refuse public funding because he was shattering fundraising records. There was no way he was going to go public with hundreds of millions of dollars being raised. I can't say I blame him, I just wish he'd admit it.

You sure about that?

Reasonably.

I heard Obama myself explain it but I wouldn't be surprised if in speeches he gave a shortened version that implied he meant his funding only.

I am sure that McCain tried to back out of public funding when he won the primary but was unable to because he took loans against it.

That's why I said it was a tie.

Thanks! :thumbsup2 I guess that means I am a person who is against Anti-semitism and hatred! I am also a person who can disagree with her chosen candidate on an issue because IMHO, Rev. Wright should have remained an issue. Of course, I know you meant this as an insult which is actually pretty humorous in and of itself.

:thumbsup2

Actually, those ads let us know what kind of person Rev. Wright is, and what kind of person Senator Obama chooses for friends.

And, once again, John McCain isn't the one airing them.

How can anyone ignore the hatred that man spewed? Can you imagine the fallout if McCain attended a church for a month, much less 20 yrs that had a preacher like that? I don't see why McCain did back off. Playing nice?

Well, then, it must be true! ;)
