McCain declares Rev. Wright issue off limits

Inez, KY — In what is becoming almost weekly protocol, Sen. McCain condemned officials his own party for going over the line in attacking Barack Obama.

I'm starting to see Rev Write ads here in Colorado.

They are also running in Ohio, Penn, and Florida.

Congrates John... you've broken more campaign promises before the election then most break after becoming elected.

So you agree that McCain has broken another promise?

No. I'm just tired of everyone trying to find some dirt on him. It's ok as far as McCain is concerned, I've figured out, but don't mess with BO.

The ads I've seen are not from the McCain campaign, but if they were, good for him!:thumbsup2 Rev. Wright preached Anti-Semitism and hatred and Senator Obama listeded to it for 20 years.

Flames in 3...2....1....

Do you really want to bring up broken promises? I'm sure for every broken McCain promise I can counter with one broken by Obama. Then someone else will bring up another one from McCain and someone else will point out one broken by Obama. And so on, and so on. It would be never ending, both candidates will look bad, and lots of DISers will get angry at the "other" side. No one will win this particular battle. It's politics. They've both done it. Are you really surprised?

BTW these ads aren't from John McCain's campaign, they are from the 527s and individual states' Republican Party. So, in this case, John McCain broke no promise. I'm not sure he ever even made a promise to keep the rev out of things, but he is not the one bringing it up.

Nice try, though. Better luck next time.

See that's what I thought. I do hope he backed them though.:thumbsup2

No flames... it just lets the rest of us know what kind of person you are.

Just like the ads let us know what kind of person McCain is

The ads aren't his. End of the story. Like Family Fun Mom posted, they are from individual states.

Actually, those ads let us know what kind of person Rev. Wright is, and what kind of person Senator Obama chooses for friends.

And, once again, John McCain isn't the one airing them.

I haven't seen them but if they are the ones Im thinking of they are from www.goptrust.com. They've been raising money for these ads on their website. The website also has a disclaimer at the bottom:

Paid for by The National Republican Trust PAC.
Not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.

Thanks! :thumbsup2 I guess that means I am a person who is against Anti-semitism and hatred! I am also a person who can disagree with her chosen candidate on an issue because IMHO, Rev. Wright should have remained an issue. Of course, I know you meant this as an insult which is actually pretty humorous in and of itself.

And anybody who can't see Rev. Wright for what he is.... well, I can't even put it into words.

Obama is one shady character. What a sleazy creep that man truly is.

When something is done in your name then it's up to you to disavow it.

McCain did it in April.

My guess McCain will not this time. (at least until it's too late)

I like how McCain supporters back his broken promises. I guess it's good to know what we would have to look forward to if he somehow wins.

Honestly, that is the funniest thing that I have ever seen on Obama Supporter write. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Desperation setting in....

Nothing like redifining "rich" every other day, something that'll realy cost us.

You were proven to be wrong. Why don't you just say, "Ooops, my bad!" instead of arguing about broken promises that weren't really broken since, once again, he didn't create or put out the ads.

Now if you really want to talk broken promises, let's talk income threshold for tax increases. Is it 250k? Or 200K? Or 150K? Of course, I wouldn't call that a broken promise. I just call it a lie. Kinda like how he lied about never hearing Rev. Wright say anything untoward.

That's the one that kills me. Make up your mind on the numbers. Good God. BO has no broken promises- just blatant lies.
