Home from a quick birthday trip to the World for DD. We planned this trip in Jan., so I was very lucky to get a PS to CRT (cancellations DO happen!)
We had 8:05 ps at CRT yesterday morning. It was noted on our PS that it was for her 9th b'day. We stayed at CR this time and walked over, arriving at the gate at 7:50. We hated to miss EMH, but it turned out for the best. They officially opened with the countdown a couple minutes early and we were 3rd through our turnstile.
We were the second family to check in to CRT and instantly whisked up to our table-all in royal style of course. We had not had breakfast here in over 5 years. DD did not remember much!
The table was decorated with Mickey Confetti and streamers. We had a window seat with a view of the carousel. DD was thrilled and impressed. This was a surprise meal for her.
She wore her tiara. Scott, our waiter, brought over a Magical Moments certificate and we had the Princesses sign that (and Cinderella and Snow White signed her visor as they were not at PSB last year to do so). I will be having the certificate framed.
The food was excellent and very hot and fresh. We had fruit and a yogurt dip and pastries. DS, DD and I also had a soda(hey- we were on vacation
) Then our hot plates with eggs, potato casserole, sausage, bacon and the stuffed pastry with blueberries arrived. DD had a child's version with eggs, bacon and French toast sticks and syrup. She ate a lot of fruit too.
DS(12) said the cheese stuffed bread thingie was "heaven". He is very picky and ate everything except the potato dish(which DH and I adored).
Service was incredible as were the Princesses. DD spontaneously hugged Cinderella and a couple others after the "pose" and those were the neatest pictures. Princesses were Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Aurora (in her Pink gown!!), and Mary Poppins (who DD also adores).
Afterward Scott brought over a tiny cake with a candle and we sang Happy Birthday and she blew it out. We cut into four pieces and inhaled. We did not want to leave! It was really special.
The Fairy Godmother was wonderful downstairs and really took her time with DD beside her in the chair. There were families waiting to be seated and we were glad we were finished and ready to play! We got a bag from the giftshop for the certificate and off we went. Best spent money and great memories from our visit.
