Another Incident at the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure

Seeing reports about trams being shut down tonight. I'm reading conflicting reports about possibly another person who jumped or a suspicious bag at the parking structure via Twitter and Reddit.

I unfortunately was in the structure when this happened but didn’t know what was going on. I had walked back through dtd to my car and was almost to the bridge on level 2 between Pixar and Mickey and friends. I heard two CMs (I believe both were custodial) who were at the bridge yelling and then one took off running and the other took off running about 15/20 seconds later. They happened to be on the non pedestrian walkway side of the bridge so I had no idea what had happened. I was able to get out of the structure though as it hadn’t shut down yet.

Second time in 2 months. Disney will have to make changes to the parking structures, and the rest of us will probably have to pay for it. Horrible and sad on many levels, not the least of which is the hundreds of people, including children, who must have witnessed this.

It makes me so sad for the people who witnessed it or were near the parking structure when it happened. It's unconfirmed whether the woman jumped or was pushed, but to me it seems unlikely that someone could be pushed and fall over the barricade that easily, obviously an investigation will be done. If it was intentional... I understand that there are mental health issues, but to take other people with you by making them witness such a traumatic event is awful (CMs, guests, first responders). The innocent people who were ending their day at Disneyland or close to finishing up their workday only to have this dark memory for the rest of their lives.

This is so heartbreaking. I feel for everyone involved and I hope the CMs and other guests can heal from what they witnessed. If it was intentional, it's hard to wrap your mind around why someone would select such a place...but, when you are suicidal it can be like tunnel vision and you don't think of anything else. Irrational thoughts become rational.
