Another HoJo Thread

I know this stuff gets asked all the time, but I couldn't get it to come up on a search. How do you go about booking the HoJo? What number do you call? Do you just ask for the entertainment rate (I have the card)? Do you have to put money down?

Please just feel free to point me to a thread that answers this.

You need to call 714-776-6120 and ask for IN-HOUSE RESERVATIONS. Hopefully you will be able to speak to Loealle, she is just great. You can ask if the E rate is available for when you want to go. If it is just book it and make sure you have a card for when you check in, they will need to see it.
You don't pay anything until you get there and check out(if holding the room with a CC)

Do not call the 800 number they will not know of what you speak, in regards to the entertainment book rate, but rather call the Ho Jo property directly and speak with their in house reservationists:

I had to call three different times to get our rooms all set up (since we switched dates) and each time I spoke with Jennifer. She was great, too! I am already impressed with the service, and I haven't even been there yet!

Thanks! I knew someone would know quickly. Unfortunately, they're closed, so I will try tomorrow. March 2009 ent. rates aren't up yet, but we're not going near a holiday or spring break, so hopefully we'll be clear.

Just a heads up. . . I can pretty much guarantee they won't have ent. rates available after 3/8. Many AZ Spring Breaks begin that week, and then the crowds just get worse from there.

If the Entertainment rate isn't available, book through mousesavers.com. You can get a discount there as well, just not as much.

I love the Hojo, have stayed there many times!

I think it is just no longer showing those rates from 2008 as they have passed, and the rates for those months in 2009 are not yet available. I think.

Remember that you can get a disboards member discount of 15%, and if anyone has or is getting an AP there's an AP discount rate as well. Just so you're comparing apples to apples, if they don't have the entertainment rate and you wish to look elsewhere.

FWIW, I consider any time from late February to May to be spring break. I had friends across the country during college, and everyone had a different break, and even inside of WA state there are spring breaks, presidents week long breaks, and so on.

Oh, and there is no money down. Pay attention to the cancelation date, and know that you can switch one discount to another, should you book something at the Dis rate and later find out the EB rate comes out for your dates.

So can anyone tell me from the past years for the ERate.. do they have dates available during peak months? March and April are when we are thinking of going and don't want to get my hopes up for booking the Erate in those months if they have not offered them in the past. TIA!

I am also curious about this. We are spending equal time in DLR and San Diego for our April trip. It might makes sense to stay in Anaheim if we can get the HoJo rate, even for part of it.

Does anyone recall if it is usually available for at least some of the dates in the Spring?

Perhaps if the Howard Johnsons Hotel is called, and is asked this question, one could obtain a good, honest answer? I would like to think so. Matter of fact, one could post this question on their Insiders Board website.

they dont know till few months out this is what i was told. at first my dates werent avalibule then they were. you should book some where and keep checkign hojos in case ent rate comes avalibule
