Hi!

I know the people on the Disboards are great with Disney help, but I just thought of going to this board for some other assistance in a different area:

My son (20) who currently is going to George Washington University in Washington DC is thinking of studying abroad (he is majoring in business/sports management) with the IES Study London Program at City University in London this January - is anyone familiar with the university, area, things we should be aware of?

Any advise and thoughts (positive and negative) would be greatly appreciated! Also, if he does go - where do we find the best airfare deals for students and if we go tickets for our family for Easter break?

Thanks from this side of the 'pond'!!

I think the university is close to the King's Cross area of London which is a rough area to live in, from what I understand. There also seems to be a lot of gang related crime in North London going on tv reports. Personally I think London is a lovely place to visit but wouldn't like to live in the centre of London.

Are there any other places he can exchange with?

There are lots of universities in London and therefore lots of students living there. I suggest you contact the University directly for info. Each university also has a students' union which is run by and for the students. (There is a link on the City University's website.) The students' union can provide all sorts of advice and will give you realistic info on the good and bad areas near the university.
