hiya all
just wanted to clarify something..... we have got the half board stadard vouchers booked now, but am i right in thinking they can be exchanged for their value (which i think is 19 eur) at other places (except the non disney restaurants?).
also, can we use these for cafe mickey - so basically taking 19 eur of the bill for one adult (2 adults 38 eur & 1 child 9eur so able to take off 47 eur off the bill??)
just wanted to check, as trying to book restaurants, so thought id check.
thanks
nikki

11 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I know you can. You are certainly able to do this with half board plus

Sorry for hijacking the thread but whats halfboard plus???

We were offered halfboard for 2 adults and 2 kids..£52 a day....not sure what we are paying for if you know what I mean....:confused3

Does anyone know how that gets split ie what are the adults price and whats the kids???

I did look on the thread at the top of the page but the prices didn't add up:confused3

Thanks Katrina xx

Half board standard is £13 per adult and £6 per child per day.

Half board plus is £17 per adult and £8 per child

Half board premium is £31 per adult and 10 per child

These prices are up to 6/11/08 so may go up slightly if going after that date.

There are certain restaurants where you can eat using just voucher (buffet and drink or strater, main desert and drink) and in others you can use it at face value against the cost of a meal.

There have been a few threads recently about this and one which listed the different restaurants where the voucher could be used as full payment.

We are using it on our next trip for the first time- mainly due to the Euro exchange rate. It means we pay before we go in £ rather than when there in €

Thank you!!

So it looks like I was offered the Standard one and there will be a £14 increase by January.....or the half board plus with a £2 increase...

I think I should phone back and ask!!:rotfl:

xx

£14 increase seems a lot even split between all of you.
The prices went up this April and standard didnt increase at all, plus by £1 per adult/child and premium was new this time anyhow

thanks...Small World!

Gonna read up about both right now again and take it from there!:thumbsup2 Cheers again!!

ARGH im confused about half board!

I just cant seem to get it. Help.

Thanks Torsie24
its just so confusing but i want to book it as i need to save money lol.

Thats the thread/link I was thinking of before. It explains it really well. Its strange tho that you can use standard and premium in Annettes but not plus. We thought it was a mistake but DH queried this on the phone and was told it was correct but plus can still be used in Annettes at face value.

Not sure what you're confused about Emma. You pay in advance for a meal a day. get a voucher which can be used as full payment in one of the restaurants listed against each option or used at face value as part payment in other restaurants. Its a way of paying in advance and avoiding the awful exchange rate at the moment

:rotfl: Im just a bit simple when it comes to things like this.

Im guessing you can either use it against the set menu offered in the restuarant or pay the difference if you want something else off the menu?

Exactly right. It's really worth the money IMO. :-)

I can't imagine myself ever going for the premiem one though, bit steep.

Can you use two vouchers in one day (say if we wanted lucky nugget lunch and then a late cafe Mickey?)

As I quite fancy Rainforest Cafe on evening!

Yes thats right.

The prices are further up in the thread (prices til Nov 08) Premium seems really expensive and only really worth it if you are going to eat in Inventions/Auberge etc everyday.

We've gone for plus which will cover some meals and then will pay extra for the occasional meal (eg Inventions)

Sounds like a good idea, best start saving for that aswell. Be nice not to have worry much about meals for once.
