another grocery delivery question...

Funny, I just asked them this question and he said when you want to, that he already has orders that were placed for May delivery.
Call them and ask if you are unsure, 866-855-4350
The gentleman was really helpful.

I just placed my order for our Feb trip. Last year I placed our order about 3 mo in advance because it was a busier season and they only have a certain number of delivery times available. BTW, great service :thumbsup2 highly recommended!

Did you have to pay for the order when you placed the order (3 months in advance) or did they charge your card when they got the order around delivery time?

Great questions! I've been wondering this myself. Looks like I need to get busy with the grocery ordering NOW!

When I ordered last yeat I chose Paypal for payment so it did go right on my CC but this time I chose direct CC payment and they'll charge it after the groceries have been delivered.

Thanks, If they charge me around delivery, it seems worth it to order now to get my delivery time slot.

do you have to be at the hotel to receive the delivery. i just don't want to have to stay around if there are other drop off options(guest services??) or can they have it delivered to room when you are not there.

if you are not in your room when Gardengrocer arrives they will leave your groceries with Guest Services. Once you are in your room, call down and Guest Services will deliver your groceries to your room. They'll even make sure your cold items stay cold! :)

what are some items that you would be ordering? We are thinking of doing this, but are considering a case of water and maybe some snacks. Can people give examples of what you had brought to the room (we are on the dining plan travelling with an 18 month old and 4 year old).

Before the DDP everything but the kitchen sink! Seriously, your children are younger than mine but we usually eat most breakfasts in the room and maybe a late snack if we had an early dinner. Look on their website, they will deliver anything.

Personally, we usually drive so I just bring it all from home, but flying this time I have to be realistic.

We usually eat breakfast in the room so some cereal bars, pancakes and muffins. Coffee, water, soda and juices too. We are DVC owners ( they have washers, dryers and a full kitchen) so I order my laundry detergent to do wash while the youngers are napping and some snacks and fruit for downtime too. We eat lunch and dinner out of the room so that's about it.

Milk, bottled water, OJ, diapers, swimmers, wipes, shampoo, conditioner, snacks, fruit, soda, some breakfast items, laundry detergent...

IMO, their prices are pretty close to what I pay at a store here at home (without coupons). It was just easier for me to have these there instead of lugging them down on the plane.
