Another great OKW trip

We just got back from our 4th stay at OKW (but ChuckS-we still have a long way to go to meet your 200+ nights!). This time we were in the Turtle Pond area, Bldg 32. I loved the convenience to the bus stop, yet we never heard any buses. However, we did hear the music from the HH the first couple of nights (maybe it was the air-after the second nite, it was very quiet). Only 3 little complaints-first, check-in took way too long-over 1/2 hour, but they did have every a CM at every counter; second, the night we stayed at MK, we dallyed for about an hour before we came out, then waited another hour for the bus-we had only 3 buses come during that hour, yet bus after bus came to every other stop (or so it seemed)-we watched a bus take only 6 people for the Y&B while we stood in a long line; last, on the day we checked in, there was a McDonald's French Fry container at the foot of the stairs. I was curious to see how long before anyone (CM) picked it up-you know, it remained there all week and I picked it up and threw it away on the day we checked out. Bad sign for cleaning and bad comment on guests' picking up after themselves. What I loved was that every time we've stayed there, we've always been given a choice of 2 villas at check in. And one evening we went to visit friends at BWV, DH's first time there. Although the view there (a BW view) was fantastic, we were so glad we had the extra room in our kitchen and LR at OKW. And the Sultry Seahorses are great as ever!

Glad you had a nice trip! I'm looking forward to my first visit to OKW coming up in July. I'll have no seniors who like to ECV to Epcot & MGM and we're driving down so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to check it out. We're spending 5 nights and only doing parks three days and the girls are going to go to a water park for their first time. I'm looking forward to lots of resort time this trip. Afterwards, we're spending 3 nights at Vero; another first for us. I'm so excited to go and experience both of these wonderful resorts for the first time!

Glad to hear that you had such a nice time at OKW. Our first stay in a 1 bedroom there will be in June, we can't wait to try it out.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. We saw OKW resort when staying at SSR. We played golf on LBV course which goes through parts of that resort. Looking forward to adding OKW to our list of DVC resorts we have stayed at!

Weird about the McD's container - you would think someone would have picked it up????
