hi :wave2: ...okay we have four days to choose for..gosh how am I going to do this... too many restaurants..not enough days..
very important desicons have to be made..I love the food at dlp.

I am thinking Planet Hollywood for day 1..we have been loads of times and my sister and I love the cocktails.

Rain forest Cafe..we went last September however I was not to keen on the food however my daughter loves the theming and would love to go again..so not to sure yet..any opinion on RFC.

Cafe Mickey..my daughters favourite, we have been here 3 times before and it is one of the highlights of our trip..good way to meet characters especially during the day when it is quieter..however wondering if we should try a different character meal for a change.

Now for our last day we like to eat lunch some where special, last year we went to Walt's and I loved however would like to try somewhere different this year..Blue lagoon or sliver spur steak house, or maybe I won't be able to resist Walt's again?

Troops love RFC and we have always had good experience here. From a cost perspective buffet at Inventions might not be more expensive.

For lunch I'd definitely consider Blue Lagoon from the choice. Comes highly recommended :)

The Blue Lagoon, along side the Pirates of the Caribbean, is outstanding. We spent four days in Paris last week, and the entire trip, our finest meal was a lunch at the Blue Lagoon. If you've ever eaten in Paris, you know what high praise this is. We ever were able to enjoy a few generously poured and outstanding glasses or French wine with our meal, right in the middle of the park.

For food (though perhaps not for children) Walts was my absolute favourite. I am perhaps the only one here that did NOT enjoy the food at Cafe Mickey (really very ordinary IMHO). I have not tried Blue Lagoon but have heard many good things. The Inventions evening buffet (with characters) is also of a good quality and nice for children.

We enjoyed the buffet at the Lucky Nugget and got a good selection of characters, but I think I preferred Cafe Mickey, bearing in mind it was our first visit to both.
We've done the Character Tea Party at Plaza Gardens twice too, it was fun, but the food selection was all desserts, although I think someone posted recently that there were now some savoury items on there as well. :goodvibes

I have taken my daughter to walts before..At the time she was fine, I think the claiming atmosphere was a nice change for her compared to some where like cafe mickey where there is constant noise and actvity, as she was at her best behaved at walts..stayed on her seat and played quitely with some character key rings...I did notice that the cm put all famillies with children in the same area...which I thought was a good idea..I don't know if it was on purpose perhapes it was just the non-smoking are.
The food was excellent, my favourite of the trip. I am not sure if my sister will like the food, she is used to hamburgers on holiday..

I think that I will maybe try blue lagoon this time .

Make sure ti check out the menu beforehand. As much as I would like to eat at the Blue Lagoon, there is really nothing on the menu I would eat when not forced to eat it, I don't like those exotic things.

(I guess I'll go to Blue Bayou at DL, where they have less exotic entrees on the menu)

That is my concern with my sister who is 16 however she did eat octopus while in Holland recently which is more than I would do!

I was concerned that we wouldn't find anything on the menu for the 2 DH's, but one had the curry, which apparently is very mild and tropical, it looked like a Korma to me, but I'm not a curry connoisseur, and the othr had the same as me. I'd highly recommend the steak with Jalapeno peppers and lemon potatoes - it was delicious, the best meal I had in the park, the alcohol free cocktails are to die for and the "Sugar Coated Expedition" dessert is definately worth trying, enough for 2 to share.

There's a teenagers menu, if your sister can't find anything on the adult menu, my two had the Corsair's Chicken and it was real chicken breast not processed stuff and I believe there' s a burger on there too.

BTW - There's no way I could octopus.

Let us know what you decide. :goodvibes

I love Jalapeno peppers !! the spicer the better!! my daughter will be fine with chicken and I my sister will eat curry.

She did not know it was octopus when she first ate it, she said it tasted okay  I would of felt ill after finding out what it is..

Incidently my two ate from the Teenagers Menu, although neither of them are teenagers, because they both wanted the chicken - but the restaurant were very obliging and let them order from the Kid's menu for desserts because they both wanted the "Chef's Surprise", (the white chocolate jigsaw). :)
