I would love to do a DP for my 31 guests, I think I prefer illuminations so here are my questions

If I want to wear my wedding dress I understand that I have to be escorted into the park, rather than getting the Disney transport can I meet someone at the international gateway to escort just me and my DF in?

If I can any idea of the cost this involves?

What time presuming the fireworks are at 9pm would my DP start and finish?

Thanks in advance!!:)

our dessert party starts at 8 and then runs to 9:30 where the bus then picks us up, i think you canmeet at the internationl gfateway and get escorted in.

We have uk lower at its 325 plus tax for site rental then you ahve to spend a min on food and drink which i think is around $20 a person

Ours ran from 8:30 to 9:30 (IllumiNations started at 9), but we met our guide at the International Gateway at 8. Our guests arrived by us at about 8:20 and food service ran from 8:30 to 9:30. We all left around 9:45 but didn't feel rushed at all.

The base price for food at a DP is for only an hour, so if you want food service for an hour and a half hour have to an additional amount per person. However, we found 1 hour of service to be plenty.

The new dessert party menus start at $22/person. With the cheapest food, viewing fees, location and setup fees and charter transportation you can figure on at least $2,000 for a dessert party, but you may not need transport/viewing fees if all your guests have park admission. Also your guests could all meet at International Gateway and be escorted in, eliminating the bus/limos/etc.

Thanks for all the info! So am I right in saying that if we get escorted in we dont have to pay for that? And all my guests would have disney tickets so would that reduce the cost further? Roughly working on minimums it would be

viewing fee = $325
DP per person $22 x 30 guests = $660
tax @ 12% = $118 (do you pay tax on both DP and Site rental??)
TOTAL = $1103

This doesn't seem too bad!! Have I missed something out?:confused3

viewing fee is like $12 a person the 325 is just for the site fee for uk lower

You didnt add on any 20% service charges ...that adds quite a bit... although I'm not sure exactly which parts of the DP have the service charge and I think that tax is only 6.5%?

For your food add 6.5% for tax and 20% for service charge. If you want drinks (besides coffee, tea, and fruit punch) you will need to add a beverage packge +6.5% +20%. The site rental fee for UK lower $325+6.5%. If you wish to have tables & chairs, add $75+6.5% setup fee. UK Lower has benches, but some people have tables & chairs. We had UK Upper which has tables and chairs already there. Then $12.50+6.5% for each guest w/o a theme park ticket for the viewing fee.

We paid $1396.12 for our dessert party @ UK Upper (same site rental fee as UK Lower). We had 19 guests and only paid the viewing fee for 14 guests since some had APs. We used the For the Child in You menu ($19.50/pp) which includes coffee, tea, and fruit punch for drinks. We also used Disney transportation (mini-bus $390 for 5 hours).
