Another Dining Plan Question- Sorry

I just got off the Guide2wdw website. I was looking up the LTT menu for kids. I noticed that it costs $10.99 for children's meal for children ages 3-11. With that being said, can I pay OOP for my 11 year old and save his adult TS for another time? Any info would be great!

It's $10.99 for ages 3 to 9. You can pay out of pocket and save the credit.

If you found that on the WDW website it is outdated information. Children are 3-9 for the purposes of disney dining.
