Another dilemma - August or October??

If we go at end of August we will go for 7 nights stay at BC.

If we go at end of October we will go for 5 nights stay at Swan/Dolphin.

Pros of August:
longer trip
BC!!
Stormalong Bay

Cons of August DH is worried about:
crowd levels
heat
rain


Pros of October:
nicer weather
longer hours?
Can go to MNSSHP
cheaper trip (which isn't too much of an issue)-room will be
comped

Cons of October:
DS will have to miss 3 days of middle school in his 1st year.
Swan/Dolphin instead of BC
more crowded then end of August?
shorter trip
DH will not be with us in Parks for 2 days - business trip

If we go in August I'm going to go again in October with DH to conference.

October, because it is generally a beautiful month weatherwise!

I really enjoyed the end of Aug. The crowd levels were lower than the end of October.
That being said, the weather was beautiful in Oct. Warm but not at all humid. In Aug. it was very humid. In Oct. park hours werent that much different than end of Aug.
But, we are going again in Aug. It affords us a longer trip because we dont worry about taking DD out of school.

Thanks Alli - I think DS has already decided it for us, he said he will stay home before he misses school. DH thought end of Oct. crowds would be lighter but I told him I didn't think so.
