Hi everyone. New here but I saw how many of you wanted New Years info and pics. Don't really know what to write since the other posters covered mostly everything and I am short on time. If anyone has any questions or wants any specific pics, please let me know. New Years eve, I was in the main lobby and the kids and I (ages 7 and 3) were right in the front. They kept showing Times Square in NY on the big screen and since that's where I am from, I was very happy to see my ball drop! Character breakfast was great...my kids got pics and autographs of everyone there. Also, we got signatures and photos with everyone except Daisy Duck. Don't know where she was. My tip is not to rush to the character when they arrive on the deck for pics. Everyone rushes them and then there's a huge line. I just kept my eye on the character while my kids swam and after about 10 minutes, there would be no line so I would call my kids over to get their pics done. No waiting and no problem :) I was also very impressed with how easy it was to get off the boat. I left my room and was in the cab on the way to the airport within 12 minutes. No joke. We ate bfast in our room Sat morning, went to the lobby around 8 and waited on a quick line to get off the boat. Once we went to the luggage area, they had the luggage separated my character and color AND it was in room order! We grabbed all our pieces, waited on customs line for about 3 minutes and was outta there! I was disappointed with how many people showed up for the events scheduled. The 80's party, some Bingo games, the karaoke and talent shows and the trivia games. Most of these had less than 15 people there, if that many, when I went. Guess everyone sleeps early on the ship!

Having trouble adding pics...please help!

Ok let's try now

Wow.. great pics!! Keep 'em coming!! Were you able to stand in line to get photos with mickey and minnie on NYE with their formals on?

I was on the NYE cruise also. I am working on scanning all the navigators and posting the NYE party countdown to Youtube.

I don't remember mickey and minnie posing for pics NYE but my youngest fell asleep in the lobby and went up with my husband at 11pm and I took my other son upstairs about 1215. Maybe they posed with the people after that. I'm gonna post the character pics in a second. ::

I see another NY'er was there! Didn't seem many of us were on that cruise. We took a delta flight home at 3pm Saturday. Two other families from the cruise were on that flight. Were you ?

MrToady, i think you will have to have a few more posts before you can post your pics.. so get talking, so we can see your pics! lol

Also, I must say, I wasn't rushed at all when taking pics with the characters. Most of them joked around with the kids, gave them hugs, kisses and high fives. The "real life" ones (snow white, aladdin etc..) even talked and had conversations with the kids. I'm sure it annoyed those on line behined me but I didn't care since I knew their kids would get the same chance to "schmooze" with the characters too. Another tip, the week before we left, target had pirate hats and vests with bandannas on their $1 rack! Many people told my kids how cute they looked with their pirate gear and little did they know it was so cheap. I think you should buy stuff ahead of time and carry it with you rather then spending top dollar on the boat.Target and dollar tree also had lots of mickey pencils, erasers and so on for a buck each. I bought lots of those and every day, gave my kids one package as a surprise. They thought it came from the Mickey store on the boat and were thrilled with their presents. They never asked for anything. Just bought them little model boats in the store to remember the cruise.I also got the autograph book with mickey and minnie on the cover in Target for 2 bucks. ( I love good deals)
