Another BLACK FRIDAY Thread!

I haven't figured out yet if i want to drag myself out there yet. Wal-Mart has nothing that interests me.

What are you guys going for this year?
What store and what item??

My son wants a Zen 6GB MP3 player. They are regularly $178 at Wal Mart. Circuit City has them for approximately $150 on Friday. I'm not sure that I want to fight the crowds just to save about $30. It's the only thing that I would be going out for.

I do all my shopping on-line and get friendly with the UPS/Fed-Ex folks.

Well, I looked briefly at the ads online, but I brought the ads in my car to look at while I wait in the doctor's office this afternoon.

But we have a plan...KB Toys, TRU, Kohls, Target, Old Navy, then whatever else we want to hit. By then the early bird specials should be over. We usually stop around 2pm for a nice sit down lunch & then go home.

PS - we start our day at 3:30am!!! (there are only 2 reasons I would gladly wake up & get ready at that hour - traveling to WDW and Black Friday!!!)

Having worked the retail industry for 10 years, I have vowed to never go in a retail store on that day again.

Most of the specials that we ran for Black Friday were repeated again at some point in the shopping season.

By the way, did you know that the busiest shopping day is the Saturday prior to Christmas?
