Another April 2015 question

I'm SO happy to be back on the DISboards after a long break -- it's time to start planning our next vacation! We're looking at going April 2015 & I have never, ever been to the world in the springtime. Late April seems to be a good time to go though -- both crowds & weather.

Last time we booked & bought flights prior to any discounts coming out & we found ourselves smack dab in the middle of a discount blackout... not offers, no codes, no nothing & since our flights were already booked, we couldn't change anything. This time, I want to be a little more strategic -- any tips on when/how to book? I don't want to wait too long because I'd like to make ADR's at the 180 mark if possible.

Are there any typical blackout periods in April besides Easter?

I've done this time what you did last time. Planning for April 2015 and booked flights already - which I have never done, but the rate was so good I couldn't pass it up. So now I have no flexibility, and pray for some type of offer during our stay, 4/21-28. So, while I have no tips, I'm right there with you watching and hoping for discounts, planning to book something by Oct in order to make ADRs at 180 days. Good luck!
