ANOTHER Adventure in Autism (4/15) A Taste of What's to Come...

Another little thing I did was to call customer service for my Disney Rewards Visa and requested that my Rewards Dollars be transferred to a Rewards Card. It’s my first time doing this and I’m pleased to report that we have earned $40 in Reward Dollars. Every little bit helps, especially when Tricia and I pass one of those pin carts!

Since you said it was your first time doing it I would like to point out that you can do this online on the Disney Visa(its really Chase) web site. Its been my experience you move them on the web site and they are moved right then to be used.

It's best not to put too much gravy on your fried chicken. Just MHO.

Thanks for the advice. I am still a dinosaur when it comes to on-line stuff... I guess I simply like to talk to a real, live person!

I should be okay... she said I'll get my card the first week of October... plenty of time!

Mine had expired last year but since you have to put transfer bonus dollars onto it when you order a new one I waited until like the 15th of last month to order a new one seems like it took about 9 days or so to arrive.

One month, one week, and 3 days!!!

Got my Disney Dining experience cards today Very very soon we will be under 1 month.

Kathy,
Thanks for sending the picture of the RV you guys got for your trip and to live in while the house is being worked on.

So you say the same guy that designed the RV is designing your house?

Wow, I guess you did get a good deal….:thumbsup2

Love that picture! very quaint and cozy, sure you don't want to just live it that? JK

Pre-Trip #31:

“Mommy, did you see that?” Tricia exclaimed.

“Yeah,” I said. “That kid’s costume is awesome!

You must be ones of the funnest Mom's Kathy!!![/COLOR

And I can say with complete conviction that I strongly prefer audio-animatronic bugs to the real thing! When I think of Florida in August, I have to say that I’m more frightened of meeting giant creepy-crawlies than of meeting alligators. I’m pretty sure no one ever found the latter in her room at Pop Century! (Yes, Karla, I saw that picture!) YUCK! I saw that too...creepy-crawlers all over

And Floridians, FYI, you aren’t fooling anybody. The rest of us know darn well that “Palmento Bugs” are ROACHES!! Ewwww! God help me if one of those gets inside the RV….Tricia’s screams would wake up the dead! And as for me, the only thing you’d hear would be the sound of my feet flying down the gravel path! :scared1:

Um yeah, heard that one in PCB FL, we changed hotels! There was literally a dozen in our room...

And in case anyone’s interested,

That's only six weeks from tomorrow!! (Yay!)  :yay: :yay:  :yay: Yay! for you!

Kathy

“They” are the cold germs that I’ve been trying to avoid for the past week. First Billy started sniffling, then Tricia. This always seems to happen shortly after school starts. No amount of Clorox or Lysol can prevent it… its just part of the back-to-school routine.

Sorry to hear your sick... I think dismom9761(amy) may have given it to you, she was sick a week back in her TR and then I got sick...oops!? did I give it to you??

Oh, and speaking of Disney shirts, my DIS-friend, Halloweenqueen, has graciously offered to make a shirt design for me and I am anxiously awaiting the iron-on transfer papers in the mail. I plan to make matching shirts for us and for my sister’s family. I think I can handle ironing. (I hope I can handle ironing!) I know that some of you highly motivated and crafty people make several different shirts, but I think that for the first time, I will start out slow. It will be ten shirts, total, and I will post pics when they are done. I ordered blank, short-sleeved, royal blue t-shirts for everyone from www.jiffyshirts.com. I think royal blue is a color that looks good on everyone; I hope they turn out all right! (Send pixiedust, please!)

Can't wait to see them!

Yeah! I have a little wad, waiting to be turned over next year$$$ ca-ching!

Keep up the great reports, I know what you mean about being confused between reports and such, and you have to keep track of 3 reports of your own....poor you JK

Love reading about all your ADVENTURES!

Can't wait to see the shirts!

Hi Kathy - Your story about Billy & the cowboys brought tears to my eyes. Only 9 more days until our trip!! :cool1: I'm hoping the magic pixiedust: will be there for us again this year. Amy

Sorry to hear you got the nasty cold but like the others said - better now than later.

I can't wait to see the T-shirts :yay:

Why didn't you choose lime green?????? :confused3

Why didn't you choose lime green?????? :confused3

Well,

My shoes will be lime green,

My bag will be lime green,

My various and sundry other accessories will be lime green,

Just thought the royal blue would make the lime green pop!

Besides, monochromatic lime green is just so 80's, dahling!

(But really its cuz they didn't have lime green in the little children's sizes.)

Kathy

It sounds like you and I are about in the same place for packing. I started putting together my toiletries bag and got that done. I'll have to refill some prescriptions before the trip so I have enough meds and that's always a pain b/c it'll be too soon-insurance won't cover it and I'll have to call them to tell them to cover it... Not looking forward to that.

I got a suitcase out and threw some swimming things in it. Loud Girl put a dress, jammies and some books in there. Guess that's all she needs.

Hope you're feeling better. And Buzz is right-he's totally worthless when he's sick. I had the crud last week but still managed to clean, cook and do all my house chores. Right now he's laying on the bed moaning about his stomach hurting. Go figure.

Love the picture of Billy-that is so sweet! Trey can't blow his nose either. He was almost there, but regressed and can't do it at all now.

Linnie's not quite as organized as you Kat. She just started packing this last weekend. Normally she starts a good month in advance.

Plus, she only has two categories of packing. Shoes & Clothes. :confused3

We're taking TWO big suitcases this year! :woohoo:

Oh, and speaking of Lime Green. I've got all brand new Lime Green underwear so keep an eye out for me everybody!!!

Even without the lime green shirts - I think you're going to be the brightest lady in the crowds ;)

I went through the same thing except the insurance isn't the problem - it's my pharmacist. He acts like the drug police

"Why do you need more?"

"You have ___ so many pills left."

WTHeck is up with that?

Does he think I'm going to overdose on thyroid pills? :rotfl2:

Well that'll make you MUCH easier to find in Germany then

Buzz...so this doesn't happen again when you do the wash you must separate the colors from the whites, better yet let Linnie do it

It is so exciting to be in the homestretch!

The transfers are printed and ready to send. Unfortunately my post office is like the DMV, so I'm going to go tomorrow morning without the kids. You should get them early next week.

:thumbsup2

Hooray!! :thanks:

The blank shirts arrived and they look great! They're all washed and ready to go! (And just to be safe, Goofster,I didn't wash the royal blues with my whites!)

Aaakkk! :crazy2: That's why I never let Ed do laundry. He can fold clothes all he wants, but I insist on doing the washing.

Ed feels that one load of wash should consist as much as one can physically shove into the washer's tub and should include every color of the rainbow. Oh, and hot water, to make sure the clothes get really clean.

When we were first married, he put a cashmere sweater of mine in with his tee shirts and washed them in hot water...... Never Again!!!

Kathy

I'm the one who's not allowed to do laundry in my house! I also put everything in together...it makes DH very nervous!
