ANOTHER Adventure in Autism (4/15) A Taste of What's to Come...

Pre-trip #18:

Wherein Ed Downloads My Giblets.

Dinner was over and the dishes were done. The guys (Ed, Billy, and my DSS, Eddie) were tying up loose ends and settling down for an uninterrupted evening of Yankees baseball on TV.

Holy cow, Mr. Rizzuto, you will be missed.

“Okay, Kathy, your giblets are done,” my hubby told me as he made his way toward his favorite chair.

Uh, what?? My mind drew an absolute blank. For the life of me, I couldn’t imagine what he was talking about. I’m sure that it was reflected in my facial expression. When a blonde moment meets a pre-senior moment, as is wont to happen in my case, the result is usually a look of bewildered cluelessness!

Ed must be getting used to these looks, because he immediately qualified his remark with, “You asked me to download pictures of your giblets for your trip report.”

Ahhh. It’s all clear to me now. *Sigh*

“That’s jibbitz, honey, not giblets.” I’m usually not one to split hairs over vocabulary, but in my mind, there’s a pretty big difference between decorative buttons for Crocs and the edible entrails of a bird. And I am quite sure you would rather see pictures of the former and not the latter. (Well, perhaps I can’t really speak for Montana Disney Fan, but I’m pretty confident about the rest of you!)

And so, without further ado, may I present……

My Giblets:

(Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. Minnie, alas, was out of stock. I plan to pick that one up ASAP. There is also an Autism Awareness ribbon in the puzzle-pattern.)

Very nice "giblets"!! ;) I really like your choices. I had never thought of it until I saw them on your feet, but do the backs hurt your feet at all?

Love your "giblets". I wore my crocs all weekend on our trip and it was "smiles on my feet" all weekend. I love my crocs!!! I will be buying my "giblets" sometime this week :goodvibes .

Aww! I love your giblets!

LOVE THE GIBLETS... I may actually buy a pair of crocs just to be able to decorate them in DISNEY :woohoo: ... Anyway I am very familiar with those blonde Pre-Senior moments, I tend to have those as well... My husband tends to look at me as if to say "What is your problem?" when I have one of those moments, which also I may add tends to be rather frequent of late.

I love your giblets. Your autism awareness giblets look so nice next to Mickey and friends. I now see the appeal of crocs are in filling those holes...I get it now. I read back and love your lime green bagalini. I so can relate to some of your stories about your son. I am glad your house didn't catch fire.
