Pre-trip #18:
Wherein Ed Downloads My Giblets.
Dinner was over and the dishes were done. The guys (Ed, Billy, and my DSS, Eddie) were tying up loose ends and settling down for an uninterrupted evening of
Yankees baseball on TV.
Holy cow, Mr. Rizzuto, you will be missed.
“Okay, Kathy, your giblets are done,” my hubby told me as he made his way toward his favorite chair.
Uh, what?? My mind drew an absolute blank. For the life of me, I couldn’t imagine what he was talking about. I’m sure that it was reflected in my facial expression. When a
blonde moment meets a
pre-senior moment, as is wont to happen in my case, the result is usually a look of bewildered cluelessness!
Ed must be getting used to these looks, because he immediately qualified his remark with, “You asked me to download pictures of your giblets for your trip report.”
Ahhh. It’s all clear to me now. *Sigh*
“That’s
jibbitz, honey, not
giblets.”

I’m usually not one to split hairs over vocabulary, but in my mind, there’s a pretty big difference between decorative buttons for
Crocs and the edible entrails of a bird. And I am
quite sure you would rather see pictures of the former and not the latter. (Well, perhaps I can’t really speak for Montana Disney Fan, but I’m pretty confident about the rest of you!)
And so, without further ado, may I present……
My Giblets:
(Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. Minnie, alas, was out of stock. I plan to pick that one up ASAP. There is also an Autism Awareness ribbon in the puzzle-pattern.)

(Pooh-Bear, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore; along with a second Autism Awareness ribbon.)
