Annual Passports.

Hello All, Are the Annual Passports going up in price June 1st?
My granddaughter called to renew her pass and the person on the phone highly recommended that she renewed it before June 1st but would not say why. I wonder what that was about.

No...the prices went up a few weeks ago.

For the last few years, Disneyland has raised their prices sometimes in the mid-May to mid-June period. Last year the price increase happened on June 2nd. Perhaps the CM was thinking this year would be similar. However, as Girimama33 said, prices were just raised a few weeks ago, so it's very unlikely that they'd do another price increase now.

I wonder if they might stop the payment plan.

The only thing they have put a stop to so far is selling the So Cal AP...

Perhaps the CM was trying to encourage a timely renewal? One thing I've heard repeated by various CMs is that Disney wants passholders to renew promptly and not allow the passes to lapse. Since Disney has stated that they reserve the right to suspend new sales of any pass (e.g. the SoCal pass now), they are encouraging (strongly!) passholders to renew within the renewal window. That way, a passholder's pass will stay valid, even if that level pass is suspended.
