We are going to be going two years in a row (2017 and 2018) and are considering getting at least one annual pass so we can get discounts. Does anyone know if Annual Passholder discounts are easy to book? Are they like all the other deals where they are for only certain dates, have a bunch of restrictions, and you have to be lucky to manage to book it? Or is it pretty easy as long as you aren't trying to book last minute?

It really depends on when you are going and where you want to stay. Typically the discount is for slightly more than the public offer, sometimes more and usually not available as far in advance. I've always found something, but you may have to check quite frequently. The rooms change really quickly. I'm not sure I would buy the pass just for the discounts. We have passes because going on two separate trips per year covers the cost of the pass.

When you say they aren't available as far in advance is it enough to still get the 60 day fast passes or is it last minute stuff? If I can't get the fast pass advantage I may as well stay offsite and pay $100 a night for a two bedroom condo.

The AP room discounts are pretty easy to come by and are typically available the season before, so summer rates are discounted in the spring. Pretty much anytime I check I find availability but not necessarily at my choice resort.

I've never thought about getting a passholder ticket just for the discounts. I'd consider it for the free parking (although not useful if you're always staying on property) and now the Photopass with a Gold AP.

I agree that it's probably not worth it just for the discounts. We've gone a few times over the last year so it's more than paid for itself. I've also been able to find the resort discounts that I wanted on the dates that I wanted with no problems.
