Hi
Have tried searching old threads but not quite finding the answer to my questions.

Is it worth 1 family member buying an annual pass for a 2 week visit?
We are planning to stay off-site but trying to work out if you would save money on parking and food to warrant buying an annual pass.

What are the discounts on food if one member has an annual pass?
What are the other perks of having a pass ie in shops etc?

From what I can gather a premium annual pass costs about £340 for a child one whereas a 2 week ultimate ticket is about £205. Considering parking for about 9x visits would cost about £90 if the dining discounts are good it would be worthwhile to purchase?
I presume we would only need to purchase 1 pass for the family to benefit from the perks?

Thanks

We had AP's for a couple of years (before free DDP offer came along)

Firstly I think your figures are slightly out, a child AP with tax = £361 @ $1.67/£1

There are not many discounts for food & discounts are very limited for purchases see this link for more details

I think you will struggle to get value for a 2 week trip but check the link.

We normally all have annual passes, but next time we go we are just going to buy one. If you go into Disney a lot then I think it's worth it because of the parking charges, plus you can get discounts at a lot of the DTD restaurants, mini golf, boat rental and at World of Disney along with other shops. We get the non-premium annual passes as I don't really like the water parks all that much and that works out at around £310.

We have had AP's a couple of times in the past at WDW - they always used to say that the 'break even' point was 10 days in the parks - over that it was worthwhile buying AP's (excluding parking privileges - we never hire a car) plus we used the AP room discounts - but we always used them again before we they ran out - went slightly earlier the year after - are you intending to return next year? As Wayne says, everything changed (for us) with the free dining (and whopping discounts at OKW and SSR during free dining - which is what we are doing this year).

P.S. Buying AP's at USF this year - hope to use next year as well.
