As DVC members do we still save money when we buy our annual pass? I can't seem to locate any info on this.

Thanks

Denise

DVC members receive a $100 discount on Annual Passes and I believe $125 discount on Premium Annual Passes.

You can buy your tickets directly off the member website and get the discount.

You can also purchase APs at WDW and receive the discount. Just need your member card and photo id.

Where in WDW can I purchase APs and get the discount?

I am getting ready to buy APs for our December trip and I am trying to decide if it's better to order them online now or to wait until we get there.

TIA.

You can purchase APs at any Guest Relations in the parks or at DTD as well as any ticket booth in the parks.

The only advantages to purchasing ahead of time are if you plan to join Disney Dining Experience or if by purchasing earlier you beat a price increase. If you do purchase ahead of time, you will receive vouchers which need to be exchanged for actual passes anyway.

I ordered ours online around 11:30PM on the day before the prices went up. It took about 5-7 days for the vouchers to get here. Now we just turn in the vouchers at Guest Relations when we arrive.

Am I right in thinking the prices have gone up twice in the last 3 months? Do you think there is likely to be another price hike?

I had hoped to buy them in January but if there is likely to be an increase I'd want to do it in advance. According to my spreadsheet, the price went up $20 so we could have saved $80 - grrrr

Good for you to catch it before the increase. :thumbsup2 We held off as the months between trips made it worthwhile to do so.

But exchanging the vouchers is really not any faster or easier than just purchasing the APs. You still must present ids and your member card after standing in line with everyone else. No fast pass line for this. :sunny:

One thing is certain, the price will indeed go up, but when is always a guess. Yes there were two price increases last year. I bought 2 AP vouchers last year before the increases and they are tucked away for a rainy day. Currently, we have been using our one day tickets (from free dining this past summer) to apply to the cost of renewing our APs since we seem to be at WDW when they expire....usually mid-trip. We have our APs so that hubby's expires in the spring and mine in the fall. This seems to work well for us, especially since we go to WDW 4-5 times a year and always 2 weeks in the spring and 2 weeks in the fall with our APs expiring mid trip each time. We average 6 weeks worth of admission on our APs each year, so well worth the money for us.
