Does anyone know if I live in the UK can I buy a annual pass - It seems on the face of it you can only buy them is you are a US resident

Is this correct?!

Thanks

We have had annual passes for the last 2 years and will renew when we go in 10 days time - you have to buy them out there but beware if you buy at the airport or at any of the parks (and don't want to use them that day) they will be valid from that day on. You won't get any of the newsletter though they don't email them to residents outside of the US never worked that one out but if you are lucky enough to be able to log on to the passholders area of the WDW website (which we always have trouble doing) you will be able to download a copy of the mickey monitor!

Thanks for such a quick response, does anyone know the current price or if there are any websites where we can buy them ahead of time!

We are off to Disney Dec 1 - 15th and I can't wait despite it being our 5th trip in 5 years

On the Disney website there is a list of prices and you can buy them on-line and pick them up when you get there, it takes about 10 minutes, they have to enter you into the system, which is always a bit tricky if you're non US ;)

I love my annual pass......it's like gold! :wizard:

I certainly bought mine ahead of time and simply transfered the voucher when I got there.

(You might want to have a look at your profile, its doing something bizarre!) :rotfl:

You can order an Annual Pass over the telephone and they will send you a voucher which you exchange on arrival for an activated pass :) So can buy while the dollar is good.

Claire ;)

If you are getting APs to take advantage of the resort AP rates and DDE cards then remember that only the person making the booking needs one. Everyone else can have the slightly cheaper 14/21 day passes etc. :)

If you are flying into Orlando International, you can also buy APs at the Disney outlet at the airport.

Can you get the DDE card if you are waiting to get your Annual Passes out there thanks.

No you need to either have a number from an activated pass or a voucher to be able to purchase the DDE card.

I'm thinking of buying AP at WDW, can I also buy a DDE at WDW too ?

No, Julie - it has to be pre-ordered and it takes several weeks to arrive, although they will issue a 'temporary' card if you haven't received it in time.

Here's the response I received when I renewed mine a few weeks ago:

June 20, 2006

Dear Debbie,

Greetings from the Disney Dining Experience!

We have received your membership application and will be processing your application shortly. Due to the high volume of applicants, it will take about 3-5 weeks to receive your cards in the mail.

If you plan on visiting the Walt Disney World Resort within the next three weeks, please reply to this email, with your arrival date. We will have a temporary card awaiting you at Epcot Guest Relations outside of the main entrance of the park. If this authorization is needed during the weekend please contact our office before 3:30 p.m. on Friday to ensure your request is processed. The temporary card will only be produced if you request it before arrival and will insure that you have all the privileges of a Disney Dining Experience Member during your stay.

Thank you for your understanding, and if you have any further questions, you may call us at 407-566-5858. Our office hours are Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Sincerely,

Quiana M. Morton
Disney Dining Experience Coordinator

Just a quick FYI- the shipping for an AP is cheaper if you order it over the phone rather than on the website.. Only $5 difference you understand, but it seems that while planning this trip i have been grabbing back every dollar possible!!

cocinelle xx :tink:

You can buy the annual pass in WDW then order your DDE card over the phone and pick it up after 5pm from GR in Epcot.

HTH :sunny:

We buy/renew AP's at the guest relations building at DTD. As soon as you have the AP you can all DDE office and buy the DDE card mon - fri 9 - 5 and pick a temp card upo latewr the same day (after 5) from Epcot (outside the park). This is the best way of doing it as the card will then have the longest vlaid date and if you are like us you will then get two years out of a one year card as the expirely date is rounded up to the next full month.

Nah. Doesnt matter. I always buy one from Guest Relations at DTD...

Saves a fortune if you can go twice in a calendar year... (For instance, this year we're going mid-october - next year we'll go start october). Bit of a large outlay up front but then you're sorted for next year as well !

And, of course, parking is free with an AP ($9 a day can mount up a bit !)
